Subject description: Finally, we can preview HVA as they are, with cool remappables!

Hello again! One day later, thanks to the feedback received, I'm releasing a new version of the Open Source Voxel Viewer, the best tool to preview your voxels without launching the game.

Open Source Voxel Viewer 1.7 has more work on the render. I've finally fixed the HVA issues that was preventing some voxels from being properly aligned in the program. So, now we have a trully reliable and fast Voxel Viewer. To improve the quality of the renderers, I've also imported the remappable generating code from OS SHP Builder, properly adapted to custom remappable colours.

The screenshot below shows a Mammoth Mark II, now previewed correctly (note the legs: they are bigger than it used to be on older versions). Also, the Mammoth Mark II below uses a custom remappable, which is enough to show the contrast that older versions didn't use to have. The only problem is that I wasn't lucky like in the last time to take a screenshot on 143 fps, but the program isn't slower.

1.7
- revisions by Banshee:
- Updated: Voxel Engine was updated to 1.3.
- Added: Support for UPHPS Updater.
- Fixed: If the HVA has less than 2 frames, it is no longer ignored.
- Fixed: The HVA settings are properly applied in the render. Some units which started in the underground, or had non-aligned turrets and barrels or even had small legs (like Mammoth MK2) are now rendered correctly.
- Fixed: Remappables are calculated with the same algorithm used on OS SHP Builder, making it look better, more contrasted and less bright.

You can download it HERE.

Support for it is available at http://cnceditingtoolsforums.ppmsite.com (guest posting allowed).

If you have a C&C related site, we welcome you to mirror it in your site without asking permision. Just credit Banshee and Stucuk for making the OS Voxel Viewer 1.7.

And finally, OS HVA Builder 2.1 is ready as well. I'll build the installer now and I'll release it in the next hours.

Stu is the real God! I'm just a puny slave fixing the programs that were almost fully coded by him.

Lazyer? I slaved away for months and months and months. I asked ppl what they wanted added to it. Noone replys. In the end it was only like Vipr, MadHQ and IcySon55 who were talking to me about it.

Correct answer is there are no Gods, just normal ppl.

hey hey, don't turn this topic into a battlefield, guys. I've already watched a document about the "fight" between science and religions few days ago and that's 'nuff.

Stucuk & Banshee are both very important...erm..."normal" people #Tongue
