I don’t normally post my work outside of my own forum but I felt like showing off a bit #Tongue

The Is-7 is a Post-WW2 heavy tank first developed in 1946 & after going though several designs the final prototype was finished in 1948. When built this tank was impervious to all known anti-tank weapons, even the 130mm cannon it used couldn’t get though it’s amour. Unfortunately dew to its high weigh, which limited it to what roads, bridges & transports it use it was cancelled just before production started.

I know Uni will be glad to see this tank he has been bugging me about it for ages!

Uni being Universal?

AW, that would make an excellent APOC replacement. Will it be for public use?

Too bad. But what use will it find in the mod, when it didn't actually see any action in the war? Confused

D-day also covers pre & post WW2, the Is-7 is the Soviet post-war heavy tank (I was using the Is-4 till recently for that job BTW)

This tank although vulnerable to most guns/cannons of that time it was severly vulnerable to AT missiles and that could have also been a factor in cancellation of the 80 supposed to be produced by the Kirov factory.

In my opinion it was a good thing they cancelled the tank as it would have been rendered obsolete by AT missiles.

At least I completed high school unlike some people #Tongue.

Oh and already the IS-7 would have been pretty vulnerable to the RPG-7.

Universal, your posts here have absolutelly nothing to do with this tank. Second of all, if you completed high school unlike some people, then why are you still dependant on your parents?

The Is-7 was built in 1948 & the RPG-7 in 1962... I fail to see how the RPG-7 would be a threat if it hadn't even been built yet & by the time it was the Is-7 wouldn’t have been in service anyway. Your suggestion that AT missiles are a reason for the cancellation of the Is-7 is BS too, effective AT weapons like that wouldn’t be around for another 15/20 years!

As to me not going to high school, I had little faith in the education system & you seam to be proving me right!

I know when the IS-7 was built okay I have russian military contacts and russian books which i can read. The Little Red Riding Hood German AT missile could pierce 230mm and so u see already if the germans had gotten that far it wasnt far off before the IS-7 would be easily pierced.

Well, I cannot agree. I do not know in which country you live in Mig Eater, but getting a professional education is great - it gives you much more possibilities in life and you can get a real professional. Plus, it helps you get a better job.

Oh I agree a professional education is great but I live in south England where the standards are somewhat low so I would hardly call it "professional". I waited until I was old enough & then went to college instead.

In game the vxl looks alot better, you should have posted that ingame as well. I say this because the normals show of the the vxl better. And form that ingame pic i saw i looks a little more realistic the way the light shines off it. Vxl view isn't the best way to show off a vxl if you ask me.

Mig the IS-7 is horribly vulnerable to panzerfausts/panzershrecks and other at missiles as the cupola has 20mm max armor , chassis 150mm and the normal frontal armor is 210mm (remember a pak44 gun could pierce 230mm at 1000mm using tungsten rounds)

First, you'll be rediculed for the asshattery of that. Moreso than usual, even.

Second, you'll be pwned by leechkiller.

Yep, leechkiller is my friend!

I’m not gona let all my hard work be dissected & end up in every n00b mod going. Besides Uni has already told me that he is gona steal lots of voxels for D-day when it’s done. It’s probably the reason why he keeps asking me to add lots of weird & useless units to D-day so he can rip them & use them in his own mod.

Mig, you may also need to know that a milan can defeat the armor of a 1912 Latil lorry. And I agree on your opinion of general education, it really isn't for everyone. I dropped out of primary school and ended up at uni at 16. Perhaps there are also correlations between schooling experiences and dependence on ones parents, or their voxeling ability, but I fail to see the relivence either way.
How about moving the red star on the turret back further? From the front its half a blob, and from the side it seems to be half in the shade.
