And I also have a second question regarding Voxel adding.
I already have all of the components to start with (I think), XCC Mixer, Mix Editor, I know how to get to all the files and such. But Im not doing the coding right or something. I followed the general voxel tutorial but I still cant understand it, really. Is there anyone that would be patient enough to give me a walkthrough on how THEY did it? If so I'd greatly ablige. Im trying to get good at this so I can eventually make my own mod, I have really good ideas for one but NOOOOO skill whatsoever. xD
Basically, Im wanting to simply put like, for example, one of Rly_Big_Tank's vehicles in TS. How would I go about doing that? (a vehicle with a BARL.VXL and a TUR.VXL) QUICK_EDIT
Well, I remember myself having some troubles with this, but now It's a breeze...
Anyhow, you have 3 voxel files, right? And 3 HVA files? You place these files in a new Expand mix, yes, an expand, not an ecache. You then look up the entry of something like the mammoth tank in art.ini ( [4TNK], I believe) Then you copy it and name it the name of the main voxel file.
Example, you have 3 voxel files:
blah.vxl
blahtur.vxl
blahbarl.vxl
then the entry you copied from 4TNK (in art.ini) should ne renamed to [BLAH]. Then you can go about creating the entry in rules.ini, but DO NOT forget to add Turret=yes to the unit, otherwise the turret won't show up. Looking at the Mammoth tank may also help, you can even copy the entry and change things yourslf, just don't forget changing the name between the []'s to fit 'BLAH' in art.ini .

I did not, I explained the art.ini bit. If you do not understand how to add things to rules.ini you shouldn't be busy with voxels. All I said about rules.ini was that the entry used should match the art.ini entry and that the vehicle needed Turret=yes and that taking a look at the mammoth tank would clear things up.
Should I also explain how to extract the rules.ini? QUICK_EDIT
No thank you, I understand how to do the extractions of the rules.ini and art.ini. what I would do was usually just take it from Mix Editor and put in in Sun directory. Doesn't that overrule the files against the ones in the actual .mix files, if they're in the directory? (btw thank you for helping, that's rad) And yeah, sorry for posting it in the wrong field, haha, I'll post it in the one assigned. QUICK_EDIT
