Server hacked.
Subject description: Wow, mom! I can hack western sites! Zomg!!!!1111oneoneone
If you are wondering what's going on with many C&C sites today, including this one, here's the news. Some managed to use an exploit from some hosted site and placed a script that replaced every index* file into their index and deleted any login* file of the server. I'm still fixing it in PPM. For those who are site operators and are hosted on Icetex/Revora, here's my tip: replace all index files and put all login files back. If you lost them... maybe you'll be lucky if someone had a backup, but don't count on it... specially if you have your own domain. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. QUICK_EDIT

What I, personally, always find funny/ridiculous about these incidents is, all these scriptkiddies did was hang around some forum, got told how to exploit something, and then replaced the index.*.
Yet they call themselves "hackers" and pretend to be the l33test people on earth.
If anyone has a copy of the phpbb index.php (latest version 2.0.21) it would be much appreciated, even if it doesn't change the fact im going to have to recode all the mods i made to it. QUICK_EDIT

When was it hacked?

I'd like to request... actually, no.. I'm gonna be harsh here: order everyone to never credit any lammer. They want attention. If you give them attention, you will be banned for a month!
And this wasn't a phpBB exploit. It was an apache or O.S. exploit. QUICK_EDIT
Well, if you didn't make a backup, it's your own fault... If you did, just restore it, then read the logs, fix the hole and send those logs to the moron's ISP. The best you can do, really.

Because the whole server was hacked. The exploit could be on any hosted site. QUICK_EDIT
Exactly, it could be any hosted site, including this one. And even if it wasn't phpbb's fault, I'm more inclined to put it down to admin error than a flaw in Apache or the OS. QUICK_EDIT

Mastermind actually found the script used to do the exploit in the kernell and we know what exploit was used. We still don't know who was the originally hacked hosted site. QUICK_EDIT
damn it all, these hackers attacked too much sites lately... Some time ago Russian Lacuna Coil fansite and a website dedicated to C&C modding were destroyed by Turkish bastards.
I do not think this is some kind of politics like Arabs hate Americans or West.
