the tabs seen in some of the clips are
"Tactical" "Options" "Database" and the credits

In the later ones, the Database one is gone, so it was probably for beta testing purposes, to look straight into the program's memory or something.

Also note the "Upgrade" button, which gets replaced by Sell in the later version.

Pity it was left out... How about implementing (a simpler version of) it in TSR, SMIFFGIG?

I'm thinking of adding Nod Microwave Cannon for my mod, replacing EMP. It would cook up infantry and destroy all vehicles, or at least damage them a lot, in a small area.

you've got a nice clip there too, Gufu.

@Gosho: of course, if I can tweak it to be balanced enough.

I think that the "Database" option was equal to the "Mentat" option in Dune 2 - bringing up the database of all units, structures and other entities the player would encounter in the game. We can only guess why it was removed, maybe it was heavy on system resources or they decided that it would slow down the gameplay or maybe it would be just useless for the most of the time - no one needs to check what is what if everything is thoroughly described in the manual.

Hmm... you might be right; I didn't think of the Dune II Mentat function Smile
