hi, your an affiliate to our site, (cncwarzone), so i just thought i'd visit to tell you about the up and coming tournament. If there is anyone who plays tiberian Sun here, your welcome to come along and joining what is going to be, (hopefully), a massive tournament, with enoguh advertising to get the amount of players we need. Here's the actual post:

Champions League Style Tournament

ENTER NOW!!!!

OK, its here, finally. Now firstly, before i introduce the tournament style, options and how its HOPEFULLY going to work, i need the following things:
1) Members/staff to help out with the competition.
2) Perhaps affilates can advertise a little.
3) Adertising point no.2 - we will need to advertise it in such a way that we get enough people and activity that it will be finished.
4) Therefore, we will need advertising signitures and banners when the time comes.
5) The bracket. -WELL this tournament is going to be very different, so hopegully, we dont need a bracket as such, just a group table; ill explain later.

Introduction:

This tournament is going to be like most football style tournaments. We will have groups. In those groups we will have teams. In those teams we will have players. so yes, as you may have gathered, its going to a group tournament. Depending on how many people we get, we can change things around a little, and, maybe if we hardly get any people, i can re-alter the whole thing to what i originally planned - a 1v1 style tournament, but with groups and points, not just a knock-out ladder type set-up. Ok enough of this, read below for the tournament layout e.t.c

Tournament layout/set-up:

Here's how this baby is going to work. Depending on how many people we get:

option 1: There are TWO groups, Containing 4 teams in which have 3 players.
For example in group one there could be the following teams: Chelsea fc, manchester united, arsenal, barcelona.
For example - Chelsea= h0tnc0ld, ngs, sharkerr. Manchester united = leetsmr, blizziga, cone. Arsenal = trevor, ruud and huntmen. bARCELONA = sero, graphic and joel.

The teams must play each other twice, Home and AWAY. Therefore, the matches will be:
barcelona vs chelsea
barcelona vs manchester
barcelona vs aresenal
chelsea vs barcelona
chelsea vs manchester
chelsea vs aresenal
machester vs aresenal
manchester vs chelsea
manchester vs bareclona
aresenal vs barcelona
arsenal vs chelsea
arsenal vs manchester

At home, You get to pick the map
Away, (opponents host game), they choose the map. e.t.c

Now, i know your thinking, WOAH thats a lot of games, it will never be finished! Though this is if we get 24 people! how? - 3 people on each team multiplied by 4 becuase there is 4 teams in one group. multiplied by two because there are two groups.

Well, thats what i was thinking layout-wise. Then, there is points. 3 points for a win, 2 for a draw and 0 for loosing. As can you can see already, this is going to require more than just me to manage and run. And, if all goes well, it will probably need at least A SUBforum to keep it going.

The rules:

There is not going to be many rules, i dont want to confuse anyone. However, The following maps are disallowed:

gdi1

(ill be adding more to the list shortly).

Next, there are 3 people in each team, so how do they all play, and what happens there? Well, there are a few options you can consider: ALL on? 3v3 time! - on any suitable map.. 2V2's are probably the most likely scenario here. However, even thought this is not really the point, if you must, then of course, 1v1 for the points.

Cheats will be eliminated. There will be a separate subforum for ss' and places to proove your oponents cheated. If this is the case, The team will either be removed from the competition, another team entered or points deducted.

Conclusion:

sign here to help in what ever section you'd like to help.
Advertising is important, so anyone who can make a signiture, thats great. Links and other means of advertising are aslo accepted. Try to advertise on xwis if you can, (with your signature), and like WT did, i might pay people to have it in their signiture.

Anything else?

if iv'e forgotten anythhing -sry, ill be posting pictures soon to back up what i said, since it was sucha long post, i couldnt remember everything, and, there will probably be a lot of mistakes (typo's).

Finally, Graphic, do you want to help? i remember last time you agreed to it Very Happy i'd be grateful if you could be the 'co leader' of this tournament. TY! #Tongue

note: i'll post in general discussion later tonight, when more people are on. I just thought it'd be better if thw staff saw it first and posted there opinions.
