Stealth Effect Avatars
Subject description: Don't blink, you might miss 'em...
So I got this idea yesterday when I was signing up for TibWeb under the name Vertigo. An Avatar of a V decorated like a Vertigo bomber of which my name originated from. But instead of it just sitting there, I'd animate it to do what the Vertigo's signature effect is...
That's right, Stealthing out! After a few seconds it disappears, and after a few more seconds it reappears. The only prob is I have to make specific ones for specific forums cause transparency effects won't work right. I have to say though, the extra effort is worth it...
If anyone wants to make a request or suggestion I might just do it, but I can't promise I'll get it done. You all know how short my attention span is. Plus I'm trying to make a bad ass sig for Vertigo using the same basic setup...

I'd realy like to see the E.V.A. logo (or the "CABAL symbol" seen in the backround of Tiberian Sun/Firestorm) disappearing with straight lines erasing them, like the Ion Cannon target selection image, or like in the Tiberian Dawn radar. Then re-appear with the same way. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
@Yuri06: I've never gotten the opportunity to play Tiberian Dawn, so I don't know exactly what you are talking about for the EVA avi. A CABAL avi would be cool, but if I were to do it I'd base it on his core build up animation. I think that would offer a much more rewarding end product...

aww...that's too bad. I'll see if I can find the E.V.A. radar SHP and turn it into gif or something, then attach it here.
EDIT: Ok, I found it. I was talking about those green lines, which, however, seems to come after the logo have disappeared...
I might try that, but something has come up that will consume all the free time I have. Let's just say I've been planning it for years, and it will require every single artistic skill I possess. All the pieces of the puzzle are finally in place, and I can finally begin... QUICK_EDIT
On a side note - Cadre, get Tiberian Dawn, play it. Then you'll love Westwood even more, worship Kane like a God/love GDI and you'll hate EA for the destruction of WS. QUICK_EDIT
I've tried, but everything I have tried has failed miserably. At the moment the only way I'll get to play it is if I buy TFD, which I'm not really sure if I want to... QUICK_EDIT

I knew it already. CURSE YOU EA! _________________
What is your overall opinion about EA producing Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars?
Things you may want to include are: 1. What you feel about EA. 2. Will it ruin Command & Conquer?
Those are just a few examples. But here is my proposal.
Personally, I think that EA is doing wonders for Command & Conquer by creating Tiberium Wars. They have very skilled modellers, texture artists, programmers, etc. I believe that EA is making up for "pissing us off" by buying Westwood, and creating Generals, which they have stated has nothing to do with the Command & Conquer storyline.
Not to mention, as long as they consult Brett Sperry and Louis Castle about it, and they approve of it, or they tell them the story to continue with, then it will be perfectly fine, no grudges towards EA. And, just to clear this up to EA haters, it wasn't like they stormed into Westwood Studios with guns and forced them to sell it. That's what you think, just because you don't like to hit "Search" at Google. They sat down in (I believe) September 1998, had a nice, friendly meeting, and left, agreeing to buy Westwood for $122.5 million dollars. Get over it.

you see mey current avatar right? I want you to use the GDI radar Up down animation using this picture instead of the fully loaded radar screen. I will need it in 150x113 and 100x75. thanks a bunch _________________ QUICK_EDIT
Nice Sigs, like the way they fade in and out. CS is a good piece of equipment, although I have never tried creating an animated image with it QUICK_EDIT
Here's your Avi's ORCACommnader, sorry again about the wait...
Wow Even with CS2 it's almost impossible to make that. Is Paintshop so much better
.. I could do that with SHP builder if I wanted to. All he did was add a frame after the anim with the Orca inside the frame & then copied the frames backwards.
