Recently, Tovarich told me he lost his massive collection of voxels before he got to send them to me. The trouble is that he says he cannot work on something for a mod that he has already done and is not willing to do again. Yeah, so simply put, a shitload of voxels have been lost. Whether we see a return of this mod is largely depending on his return to modelling the units. Perhaps there are some backup copies, if so, I will work on coding them immediately and putting em in-game.

For now, it appears CW will slowly die, due to this communities 0% support. Also because of Star Strike, which has potential, and also is nearly 100% neglected by the community. I will take this oppurtunity to say that this sort of Cold Shoulder treatment is the perfect way to chase modders out of a community. I will continue working on this mod when possible, despite it being ignored however.

To those who just merely read these topics or look at the screenshots, thank you.

I must comment about this, it is a shame that CW and Star Strike, mods which are actually showing progress, are being neglected. Banshee, or any mods who read this, please, post some Star Strike news on the bloody frontpage. I havent seen any in eons. its a shame this mod is pratically unnoticed and EVA's putting so much work forth into it. Seriously.

Honestly, I dont know yet, on the how this lost voxel thing will play out. Hopefully, he may have some backups... And I get this mod back on its feet.

But until then, improving my 3 voxels, the Ranger, Patton and Sherman, and starting work on voxels I promised months ago is all I can do.

I've been posting some Star Strike news in the frontpage in these months, Carno. If you take a look there, you'll see. Regarding Cold War, I haven't seen anything big happening here for a while, except for this event. Let's hope he'll be able to find a backup of his voxels. His work rocked.

I played a beta (very rough beta) of CW last night. It is, to say the least, ztyping fun. Katyushas bringing down barrages of rockets down on the enemy, they thrash anything. The tanks are very un C&C like and more like real tanks would be, and for the love of god the Commies need a damn recon unit!!!!1

EVA, looking at KLU's work have we #Tongue And that Range...erm jeep is a recolour of the one for Star Strike or a new one?

The Jeep is not for SS- Star Strike has a HVMEE

Another bit of good news for the mod

I have finished in 2 hours of nothingness this little Soviet toy- The BTR-50P, an open-topped APC with the capacity for 20 soldiers(ingame this WILL be 5 for balance and practicality)

Hmm, not sure, but did this by any chance have a light machine gun? Or was it "open-topped"? Because with five soldiers in it, it will be like a Flak track, without the flak.

I am considering ten soldiers being the capacity
@it being open topped as in the BF- The APC will not have an BF capabilities of this sort- it would dramitically sever the balance in the mod.

When I get home, I will be considering work on another NATO unit.'

EDIT- The BTR-50P also has a 7.62 MG, which is a bit weaker than tank machine guns, but still damaging to masses of soldiers.

EDIT Again- if you look at the ingame, a MG with a handle can be seen, slightly misaligned vertically.

Open topped vehicles always look odd open and empty; try putting stuff inside or covering with a tarp, etc. and the normals look bad.
But don't let this mod die, I wanted to play it!

The BTR-50P was open topped, however, the BTR-50PK had a closed troop section. Covering for the 50P is being considered
