IVI MRP-T17 Tu Fei
Subject description: Battle Tank
Overview
Name=IVI MRP-T17 'Tu Fei' Battle Tank
Manufacturer/Developer=IVI
For=New Xiao Mei, Brotherhood of Nod
Armaments=1x High Pressure Plasma Discharger, 1x 3.7 caseless minigun
Top Speeds=60mph/50mph/46mph
Powerplant=1x Advanced 'Dagul' Micro Fusion Reactor (generates 2500 hp), 1x Chi Micro Fusion Reactor (for shielding and plasma induction purposes)
New Xiao Mei's plasma development research has been largely influenced and helped by the Brotherhood of Nod, While the people of New Xiao Mei do not agree with many of the views of the Brotherhood of Nod, they do share common interests with regards to tiberium research and exploitation. And being placed in a yellow zone, it kind of puts New Xiao Mei in a similar scenario as The Brotherhood of Nod.
With the aid of the Brotherhood in plasma research, IVI agreed to sell many of the new plasma tank models resulting from the new advancements. One such of these models is the IVI MRP-T15 Qiang Dao, a light tank. The Qiang Dao is lightly armored, but very fast and extremely agile for a tank. It forms an E/B-field around much of it's carapace and fires high temp plasma orbs. New developments in compact microreactor research enhanced IVI light tanks' speeds even more (raising the Qiang Dao's speed to 98/79/68 mph and likewise to other light tanks).
The new plasma tank IVI MRP-T17 Tu Fei however is what the Brotherhood was pleased with. The Tu Fei has a much thicker re-forming carapace than the Qiang Dao, and only slightly thinner than the IVI MRP-12b Scarab's and the Tu Fei fires higher grade plasma orbs than the Qiang Dao. The Tu Fei also has a stronger E/B-field generator thus deflecting projectiles more efficiently than any IVI light tank. All these come at the price of speed and mobility. The Tu Fei cannot catch up to the fast light tanks and cannot form formations with them either because it turns rather slowly. That doesn't matter much though because the Tu Fei pairs perfectly with IVI MRP-T12bScarabs, a fellow battle tank
thanks! I have a bit of a problem with the projectile though and it's this:
When the Qiang Dao and the Tu Fei fire their projectiles at targets that are at a lower elevation, the plasma projectile end up hitting the ground 1 cell away instead of flying towards the lower-ground enemy. As a result, the plasma tanks are only combat effective on flat terrain and when elevation is present, they end up doing more damage to their companions rather than the enemy (brought about by its high damage and high spread).
The projectile hits the ground when targetting lower ground enemies because I did not put the Arcing=yes tag to the projectile. This is only right because to achieve the flying plasma effect, Arcing=no should be the case and ROT=1 should be the flight control. In TS, the tag SubjectToElevation=no isn't available. Guys, can anyone help me with this? I want the projectile to fly towards the targets while ignoring elevation blockage. What's the way to do this in TS? or it really can't be done without changing Arcing=no to Arcing=yes?
I coded the plasma projectile as
[PLASCAN]
VeryHigh=yes ;I added this in the hopes that it will ignore elevation
Acceleration=20 ;the plasma starts with speed 30 and accelerates quickly
High=yes ;also to try making it ignore elevation-- to no success
Shadow=no
Image=PLASBOLA
IgnoresFirestorm=no
ROT=1 ;so that it won't hit the ground before reaching its target QUICK_EDIT
lol well trust me m8 that particle is great I admire the fact that you acheive perfection in your projects wish i could help but i do not have a clue lmao. But im impressed already i cant wait till you have it working perfect. good luck _________________ Soader, Drum N Bass!!!! QUICK_EDIT
