Incredible work IFV, I can't wait or this one to come out
IDK if it's really a good idea to even have this mod set in the tiberium universe...
1. The story is really good enough without it
2. GDI and nod are fighting for global control, I'd expect if a war like this were to erupt, both factions would take part it it as well; GDI to keep the peace, and Nod maybe to play both sides for its own benifit, maybe making making "alliances" like they did with the mutants.
3. There's no tiberium in it
I think to include the tiberian universe into this mod would just be too unneccesary and distracting to the story. It's really good enough already without it
Also as far as Junk/Tiberium spawning, if you're not planning to use tibtrees, there's another way I thought of:
There are 2 ways to make units spawn tiberium when they blow up(that I know of): making them TiberiumHeal=yes
and having a full PipScale=Tiberium.
You might try having a bunch of random civilian vehicles on the maps with one of these tags (probably the tiberiumheal, as I wouldn't know if it's possible to pre-fill the vehichles on the maps), then search for em and destroy for some valuabe junk to pick up. thank you very much for the insightful suggestion Team Black and yeah, I've been thinking of this being set in the Fallout universe instead but no, I like the C&C and Fallout universe equally and thought maybe I could draw a rough line connecting them .
anyway, if my C&C TS:Ascending From Ashes mod still doesn't get much attention, I'll change this to a Fallout RTS mod instead; I know many here will be interested in that instead. And keep the Ascending Ashes for myself QUICK_EDIT
To be honest, I would really, really like to see both mods. As 'Ascending from the Ashes' offers some great new graphics, storyline and atmosphere - it's a shame if it gets private.
anyway, let's see if this sparks some interest: it's the theater for eastern Asia,

Fallout RTS?
The only way I can think of this is pre-bombing USA Vs China(including USA's troops in Battle armor)
Cause having and army of brutes with machine guns is weird(but is a nice easter egg) I like the story and idea though of yours though _________________ DUNK! QUICK_EDIT

new concept: ruined cars barricades

and let me clarify a few things to those wondering...
the factions I mentioned above are NOT waaaay different from each other. It's not like they all have different structures from each other. In my mod,
a base building mission (I want to limit the number of missions in which base building is a must) will start off with a mobile HQ. the mobile HQ can undeploy to... you guessed it: an HQ.
an HQ will give rise to a carpenters' quarters which will in turn enable a Barracks, Junkshop, IVI trading agency . the Junkshop and the IVI trading agency will both enable the IVI dropship bay in which the vehicles are delivered to from someplace else. to be able to purchase IVI MRP tanks, you'll have to build a IVI battery recharging plant and to build IVI SPAFV tanks, you'll need to build the add-on to the recharging plant which is the IVI Reactor maintenance bay .
side notes: I'm thinking on enabling other "vehicle companies" besides IVI. and that building one other's agency will disable all others.... heck, I've got enough voxels of my own to create 3 companies already. QUICK_EDIT
Do know what it's not possible to have upgrades to be requisites for units and buildings
if that's the case, then I'll have the upgrade as a separate structure then.

no, I wont be putting water-bound battleships and cruisers for 3 major reasons:
1.) the chaos of the fighting happens on Mainland China, Mongolia, Russia and south east Asia. I can't imagine how water-bound ships are supposed to perform roles in the mainland (unless they're on wheels and can traverse land)
2.) operating old warships is very costly. besides that, you don't suppose that a rag-tag group of raiders or struggling rebels could have the resources to maintain such a thing, can you?
3.) I don't have FS anyway so I don't know how I can code them in without it. QUICK_EDIT

Man you sure got skills. I can honestly say that is some REALLY friggin nice stuff you got there, i'm rly looking forward to the release. The ruins looks awesome and all the voxels are really nice as aswell. The whole idea with junk as a resource is brilliant, and i agree with OccultSpectre about hosting it. info: this can be a prequel or a sequel (it's flexible ). as a prequel, it will follow the Fallout bible. as a sequel, I can do all sorts of stuff with this
don't worry about a thing.... these two are very flexible. that in the sense that they share 90% of the terrain work and building work.
they share lots of common voxel models (not that it'll matter because I can always make new ones in the case of a shift)
so, if I do get hosted, one of the first things I will do will make a poll on whether a Fallout mod will be done instead or this Asian thing ok? QUICK_EDIT

As U.S., the campaign will follow the Fallout bible... they'd push the Chinese back across Alaska and to the Yangtze.... then the China will launch all the (as the Children of the Cathedral would say) the 'Holy Flame' .
As China, you'd fight an extremely hard war. but, if you succeed, you'd change the Fallout canon in the end .
I got the story for the non-canon Chinese campaign thought out so far QUICK_EDIT
A sizable GDI force has seceded from GDI. these upstarts were the Asian contingent of GDI.... and it seems that a charismatic General has swayed the troops in favor of seceeding from the Blue Zone to establish their own area.
This renegade GDI force... who call themselves the 'Eurasian Contingent' are very strong military-wise. They have proceeded to gain control over a large area in what used to be Russia.
New Xiao Mei has been in constant war with this GDI force... and with resources so scarce, has been on the defensive.... the Eurasian Contingent is a force to be reckoned with... even though many of their troops are green, they are self-sufficient.. and have schematics to produce their own EC units, based on GDI units.
the following screenies are that of the battle New Xiao Mei's Military-Tech Company Isserel Xiang Wu Various Industries (IVI) won against the Eurasian Contingent.

where did you read that? China didn't, China is typically non-existent as a whole in my mod, having fallen into anarchy and all.
China, as you well know is a very big country.... and as such there's plenty of room for all sorts of terrain... all sorts of interesting places... and plenty of room of all sorts of factions
the Eurasian Contingency probably originated from Europe... and proceeded to claim Russia (who fell into anarchy like China... actually THE whole world is in anarchy) for their own. _________________ "War.... war never changes....." QUICK_EDIT

The only thing i dislike about your work, here, IVI.. Is the cameo's... They look extremely cartoonish... And the really long names for your, Voxels... But yet again, this is just me being picky. QUICK_EDIT
hehehehe... I admit, these are low quality cameos. I can make one of those in 2 minutes .
I don't know how to make better ones though, unless I make 3d models of each unit I have and skin it and then have render of it then taking a minimized picture of it

Exactly... Maybe you could edit the, SUN.ini to make textless cameo's, and add the text yourself on the cameo's... If you know what i mean, instead of TS Doing it manualy? QUICK_EDIT

Well, then you'd have a blank box when you put the cursor on one of the units. But eh, who cares about that anyays lol.
