I used it for the last time on thrusday afternoon, in the computer science lab, however, I probably forgot my pen drive there. Someone found it and took it. Unfortunatelly, there are a lot of people who are not civilized in my country and think that getting something that they found isn't stealing. For me, it is stealing.

Well... pitty. Fortunatelly, OS: Voxel Viewer 1.7 comes with the source. That's the best that I have here.

i always keep my source code in multiple locations in case of disasters.

i have no sympathy for people that steal used data storage mediums because the value of the data stored there can be immense to the owner while probably useless to the thief.

sometimes guys on the street would offer me laptops for real cheap and i knew they was probably stolen from people and i felt tempted to smash them in the face but then i felt maybe they were policeman in undercover operations so i decided not to. i was also scared of what the police would do to me even if the guy was a criminal.

one time i found someone's usb memory stick in the school computer lab and i was wondering what to do with it. i pointed it out to my morrocan friend who was with me. i was thinking maybe to turn it in to the computer lab supervisors but then i thought maybe they would just steal it. my friend took it and violated the owners privacy by sticking it into a computer and looking at what was on it. i would probably have never done that. it was like all this schoolwork and stuff on it. then he found a file which was the person's resume and it had a picture. he recognized it as a girl from the school so he started wandering around the school and found her in the library and gave it back to her and she was like "oh thanks" and then we walked off.

so did you lose a lot of work that you will have to redo?

I've lost the quick patches done to both OS Voxel Viewer and HVA Builder, I've lost an internal beta of a modification of VXLSE III for a university project. Hmm... what else? some opengl tutorials, an internal beta of a w3d viewer that I've coded a while ago, although the modifications done on it where minimal and I have another copy on my HD, some musics, and the rest were backed up on my HD. The SHP Builder there was quite old.

And always remember to unplug the memory stick from a public computer when leaving it... I almost lost mine, but it didn't have too important stuff on it.

Some people really can't respect the work of others or their property.... reminds me of my old home Neutral.
