Secret SimCity/Red Alert 2 Easter Egg?
When I was playing SimCity 3000 unlimited I played the scenario with the crime problem in Russia. Guess who was running the Russian mob, Yuri. I thought it to be a reference to Red Alert 2. Last edited by Apex on Wed Dec 06, 2006 5:45 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
He was running the mob, and the Russian mob not the civilian mobs started by them being upset. Plus both owned by EA, both are in Russia, both are criminals in one way or another. QUICK_EDIT

Yuri, Vladmir, Boris, they're all very well-known Russian names so if there's a Russian name that needs using in a game, they tend to use one. Coincidence. _________________

The amount of Yuris and Borises in Russia is as big as the amount of Jacks or Bobs in USA or UK. Even my father's name is Yuri , although he doesn't have that damn tatoo on his forehead .
But, for some reason, when Americans want to add Russians into the game, they are almost always bad or criminals and almost always the have names of famous writers, like Pushkin, Tolstoy and etc.
Those game developers are bastards... _________________

True, I think its just due to the whole "Communism is Bad!" scene from the Cold War days. _________________ ... QUICK_EDIT
Lately I was reading an article about comrade Lenin in Wikipedia, and occasionly I saw a small photo. Those who played Red Alert 2 as Soviet Union can remember this o_0
Couldn't find a better picture?
