Predator informed that in th next hours, the Games For Windows magazine will come with an article about C&C3 revealing the 3rd faction. There are many rumours in the community so far.

I've been saying from the day one that it's Scrin, but maybe, with another name. They've been following the concepts of the old westwoodians, that had scrin as a faction on early pre-production versions of the game.

At CnCHQ (German site), someone reported that they saw in the official EA german site that the third faction was Scrin. Cabal and forgotten were sub-factions. But, the EA German site wiped the secret.

The best theory so far is the one posted at Planet Chuck Norris Conquer. According to Hexetic, the third faction is Chuck Norris. I think it's a heavy risk to place Chuck Norris as a faction, since the game would be completely umballanced. Let's be honest here: who would play with GDI or Nod on tournaments, when you can play with Chuck Norris? Of Course, no matter what EA does, Chuck Norris faction would win the game easily. There is also a risk of your computer explode in the process, specially when two chuck norris factions fight against each other.. oh well, your responsability! If it doesn't explode, the excessive ammount of roundhouse kicks may shake your screen or even knock it down. We believe that with this faction, the focus is to bring a new level of reality simulation to your computer, allowing players to shake with every units beaten by Norris, instead of only the joystick. Anyway, that's it. We'll use our expert agents to confirm that Scrin will be the 3rd faction, since it wouldn't make much sense if Cabal or Forgotten took this position.

I thought Cabal was Kane! Remember at the last cutscene in Firestorm when they were going through Cabal's wreckage they came up to a frozen Kane? (You've probably had this discussions years ago but I'm a newbie here). I honestly think that Cabal is Kane. And that whole Firestorm thing with Cabal killing off humanity because "they reached an evolutionary standstill" or something like that goes perfectly with Kane's Tiberium induced theory of Evolution. So in my view a Cabal side wouldn't make sense if Kane is back supporting Nod.
A Forgotten side would be slightly more feasible, but they wouldn't be the funnest side to play and they would contradict themselves becoming a faction. 1) They were like poor third world country people. How could they develop their own unique technology? All their units would be scraped Tiberian Sun stuff, lol remeber the ice cream truck with the rocket launcher? 2)because they are poor third world country, they would almost instantly coincide with Nod's philosophy that "the man" ie Rich capitalists are holding them back and they need to return power to the people. Besides that they lived in GDI cities in TS. And didn't I here that there would a mutant mercenary post as a tech building? If they were more like France or germany in RA2, being a sub-group this would make sense because of their alliance in TS.
The scin are defiantly the most likly new faction. They are aliens so they can just "come", they don't need a long story of emerging from one of the existing sides. It's been like 20 years from TS. Super Powers don't emerge in that time. Everything seems to be pointing to Scrin. Unless the makers want to surprise us with a rogue genral/scientist like with Yuri, then i'll say I'm 90% sure it's Scrin. The other 10% wants something similar to the forgotten, but based more on Nod Renegade mutant experiments, but that's like one in a million. My only advice for eager beavers, see if the demo if a playable one, pray the used .MIX and search it like your Nancy Drew.

I read in planetcnc that Steve Jablonsky will be making the tracks for C&C TW. I really hope he'll pull it off. TD's soundtrack really mixes with the ambiance and unfortunately TS' music leaves a bit to be desired. So I hope thie time around, C&C TW's soundtrack will blend in the game's mileu
