Today is the big day to eat, breath and sleep with C&C 3. I'm slowly posting my summit wrap-ups (part 1 and 2 are readable in the forums already), but some people already have good information to show and I'm not talking about the latest gameplay movies from GameSpot, I'm talking about fan sites.

-> Head to Command & Conquer FileFront to read a complete set of information about the gameplay, units and buildings of the game. JohnWE forgot to mention that the black hand trooper can call its personal air transport to take him everywhere in the map (as long as there is no AA defenses nearby) and I have my doubts if Black Hand Trooper's weapon is flame or chemical... it looked more like chemical when I played them. Anyway, it's the best source of information of the game so far.

-> Jason, from Strategy Informer has posted his article about Tiberium Wars HERE.

-> For modding addicts, head to CnC3.Net to read the part 1 from Hostile's summary about the game. He talks about the new W3X format for graphics, which is a XML based one and holds every animation from the units in only one file (which reduced the game loading time considerably). INI files are gone as well. Now, all basic settings of the game goes into XML files. Anyway, if the the graphics file is in a xml file, it will be easy to decode it before EA create the modding SDK tools.

And, in a quick answer to all curious people around, the tiberium in game ignores or doesn't follow correctly all that MIT crap. It behaves pretty much like the old tiberium and it can randomly polute close areas affecting infantry around it. So, it's even better than TS's tiberium, although there will be no vein holes, unfortunatelly.

I for one am glad they won't have any veinholes in TW, seeing as the game plays at 3 times the pace of TS you'd never get around to using 'em. Thanks for the links Bansh, JohnWE's unit lists totally made my day...

You wouldn't necessarily have to use them though. They could just be something cool to look at and a dangerous environmental hazard.

TiberFCSL
Good to hear tiberium doesn't follow all that MIT crap, but I still hate it mainly cos it turns everything that touches into more tiberium, and having evolved so so fast from the 2nd tiberium war to the 3rd, I think it's simply stupid, and they haven't explained well at the time, they have always saying excuses but never explain deeply how and why has changed... I think it is cos EVEN THEM HAVEN'T KNEW ALREADY (first Apoc said many times no, the tiberium is the same, just with a change in the way it looks and many many days later Mike Verdu himself in his blog said that tiberium has changed, has evolved, and finally admited that it's different from the TD/TS tiberium, but without a solid explanation... First, they said it hasn't changed, then they say it has evolved... I think that means they changed tiberium the way they liked and after that they try to make a explanation cos they realised that is no time to change tiberium the way it's always been, there are few months last. That's what I think.

Why do people bash the game before it's released?
