I've started expanding the number of Urban buildings.

I'm satisfied with my SHANTY series and I believe it's time to move on. making more serious works of architecture is hard to do by hand. I want to make more city buildings that are believably part of a modern or post modern city.

here's the first.

it's some sort of hotel. I made it in 3dcanvas and put in the colors with SHP builder... is it ok? does it fit with the other buildings??

here's a new one. It's the upper portion of the Kuan Chien building, in Taipei, Taiwan. The real building isn't much to look at but I liked the architecture of the upper portion so I decided to model it and turn it into an SHP.

it's WIP, but I think I can finish it by tomorrow.

here's how it is so far. it might not be too accurate, the photo I got had shows only 2 sides of the building and I have to guess what the unseen parts look like.

well, I guess it's done.. It's really hard to make new city buildings fit with the original ones; made worse by 3d canvas basic being an utter noob at rendering.. so I have to do the textures pixel by pixel Mad .

I just got myself an Adobe Photoshop 6.0. I'm still learning it, and I'm trying to improve the textures on my work.

Here's a sneak peek on another campaign mission I'm making : 'Jing Qi: The City of Despair'.

Side notes:
1.) Jing Qi means prosperity.
2.) I was inspired by the 'Fallen Angel' teaser clip and that inspiration was the root of this campaign mission
3.) I didn't do a very good job on improving the IVI office, but I did add some textures and made the sheen gradient more believable Smile
4.) The new building at the bottom left are IVI Housing Projects

P.S. dont worry about that light halo on the IVI office's backside... this was an hours old pic and I've taken care of that..

P.P.S. The old IVI dealer agency (my very first building SHP) now looks outdated, I'm using the old SHP as a proxy; I'm going to make a 3d model of it and rework it.
Credits to: Gangster/Jaberwocky and [Anthony] for the expanded terrain work... I use it a lot when making cities.

@ zdflamer2: these buildings are for my mod. I don't think you'd be able to use em as these are especially designed (at least, I'm trying hard to make them that way) for post-apoc ambiance; note the dirt, and weathered stuff.

However, I'll be making some especially for public use Wink but that all depends..... on something I'm waiting to happen..... Idea

@ Dupl3xxx: yeah well, you're always quick to notice that #Tongue. but unfortunately, I have to edit all the 3d pics in paint before texturing them in photoshop.... and along that way, some buildings are sometimes too trounblesome to bother with... Embarassed sorry for the laziness.. anyway, I dont feel like editing something I've already finished... especially if it can pass as something that looks good already (my POV). Smile
