The cannons are good, but they don't fit the rest of the body very well. I suggest you remake the whole body, too.

these tuuets are shp right? I noticed that they don't have the overlap problem of the original titan's voxel barrel. Interesting...

@team black, thats because I made the cannons part of of the turret . I could do a single cannon version if you wanted

@Yuri o07 how do you suggest I should make the cannons?

No, the cannons are good. I just don't like the regular Titan body. You seem to have talent, can you remake that body too?

yeah , Its just going to take a very long time. I don't have 3dsmax, but am using AC3d which is okay software. I'll need to work on some textures. originally I planned to replace the body but I quickly made this. I have a dummy I am using.

I think they are great as they are and don't really need a whole new body but of course there can always be two versions. Wink

this is another mech im working on. It is supposed to replace the Juggernaut. It is equipped with dual missile pods for long range. Its is an LRFs unit and when deployed is stronger and longer range. this is it so far. Seems like the GIF is screwed.

First, please don't use Agif. Second, you're progressing very well, but now you should replace the titan legs, as they stick out too much from the new body.

Im working on the legs right now because I noticed the same thing. The original ones look crappy with the new body. It might be awhile before I post another version. What do most people use to make GIFs, I hate Agif.

Anyways, welcome aboard brand new SHPer Smile Cool mechs, but they need a bit of a touch up, as Yuri suggested.

I decided just to go ahead and redo the leg animations and finish the titan. I also lowered the guns a little on the turret and added a grenade launcher for anti-personal and light armored units.

you've done good in this work of yours Robopope99, but I've got some suggestions:

1.) there's too much anti-alias; or if there isn't, the overall look seems blurry.

2.) the two cannons' barrels are too thin, they look more like machineguns rather than 120mm guns.

3.) besides the sharpening, the color needs to be pronounced a bit more.

just fix those three, and I'll bet you'll have a memorable SHP in your hands. Smile

yea dude... listen to isserel, he knows his shit when it comes to how work is done to look amazing, i would suggest taking a look at some of his voxel work, it is quite amazing, i love what you have done with your titan. but i couldnt agree more with isserel, your cannons are a bit too skinny for a 120mm barrel. but i do believe that this is one of the best shp's i have seen in a long time, keep up the great work, and i hope to see more impressive work from you Very Happy

I have a version with shadows. Sorry about that. AC3D can become a pain in the ass to work with. In order to make animations I have to make each indivual frame, save it, copy the image and paste in in OS shp builder. then make a new frame. problem is you have to save the frames as separate models. The detail gets lost when you zoom out as well. I could make the barrels to a better size easily, just the legs are a bit tricky. I'll try some better lighting and experiment with the model.

I agree with IVI and I hope the the version with shadows with bring out the details in your model instead of being flat and muddled. I like the shape of the legs and the general body shape. Right now though it doesn't look any better than a voxel mech without the shadows and the feathering you'd associate with an SHP Mech. I think once you fix that it will look great.

you need more than diffuse texture channels and why are the edges tending to look darker? it's supposed to be the opposite. and why are you not using anti-aliasing? you're supposed to put it as high as possible.

I htink he minimized the anti-alias to make the edges look sharper..

anyway, robopope.... your new Titan looks great! it's a work of art and a good example of how a work can look even better when suggestions of the community are taken into consideration.. GOOD JOB!

maybe you cold give it a better name than 'Titan'... it's your creation after all, and looks more lethal than the deemingly debilitated Titan Very Happy.

Well here is the finished Spartan with shadows. Also in the pic is the Subjugator Artllery Mech. The map lighting is a bit dark so it is kinda hard to see the subjugator properly. I renamed the Titan to the Spartan Heavy Mech.

Well thanks a heap for the tips cause it wouldn't of turned out this well. I think It was worth it.

@SaneDisruption I entirely agree aout the spotlighted shp area cause then people don't have to filter through the pages to get the best shps.

If anyone who liked my work has any shp request I'll try to do it for you.

The mechs are great stuff but I think the Titan MK II or Spartan looks like it'll fall over if it shoots.

I think they're a bit bland on details, especially on the bodies... but the weapons and overall implimentation kicks ass.
