Hello everyone! I'm also aware I haven't given enough attention to certain areas of this community. You know, a place gets big and it becomes hard to track everything, specially when we start working on a lot of things. Of course, there are ways to sort this kind of thing, but hiring someone to help, however, I don't wanna do it... at least yet.

Last year there were 10 spotlighted maps. This year, I've found at least 9 spotlight candidates in less than 3 months. So, I'll evaluate the maps and spotlight them in packs and now I'm starting with the first pack, with 3 maps. So, let's start:

Cliff's of Asvetia (2) - by Ixith

One of the best mappers of 2006 has submitted several maps in this year and one of them is Cliff's of Asvetia. This is a temperate 1 vs 1 map with a strong apocaliptical brown lighting and full of cliffs, of course. Each base has several entrances and enough tiberium to grow. This map features everything a great map has and certainly deserves our spotlight.

Harzardous Crevice (2-5) - by Aro

Aro is appeared as a mapper in this community in this year and he already has prooven to be very skilled. He's currently working on the new Tiberian Sun: Rise Of The Omnius mod. Harzardous Crevice is a temperate 5 player map with a tiberium infested and devastated land. Each base has several entrances and a lot tiberium to grow. Due to the high amount of cliffs on the map, it might be hard to do big base expansions, but nothing prevents you from hunting tiberium on further areas.

Leviasc River (2) - by Ixith

Maps from Ixith is certainly a sign of quality. It isn't different with Leviasc River, which is a temperate 1 vs 1 map with a strong night blueish lighting and fully detailed. The bases are separated by two bridges and this map might be interesting for subterranean, jumpjet, air and hover squads. The initial island for each base doesn't seem much tiberium and the players will need to fight for more tiberium located in the isolated island. This map also features a train that, as far as I'm aware, doesn't seem to be working as it should, but it doesn't take a way the splendour of this map.

Anyway, from the 9 spotlighted maps, 3 of them are these ones I've mentioned. Another 3 are certainly spotlighted and there are 3 others which will be analysed, due to lack of comments, however, their quality looks excelent. Submit your TS maps to the Tiberian Sun Map Archive and enjoy all the maps available there! Remember that the spotlighted maps are featured in our left menu, at the Tiberian Sun section there.
