Spotlighted Tiberian Sun Maps - 1st Quarter 2007 - Pack #2
Subject description: There are (really) too much maps to spotlight!
So, let's continue with our Tiberian Sun map spotlighting campaign that was started in the last news, with 3 more maps.
FS Seeds of Destruction (2-6) - by Aurora196
Revealed by the Open Map Competition, Aurora196 is a legendary mapper for us and he has already submitted a lot of spotlighted maps. The latest one is FS Seeds of Destruction, whcih is a temperate 6 players map, a remake of FS Cityscape, now with an amazing detailing and an absurd tiberium infestation, probably a yellow zone that is becoming a red zone. So, the layout is nearly the same from Cityscape, except that you have much more tiberium to collect now.
(Note: Requires Firestorm)
FS Glomma (2) - by Crash-King
Crash-King is also a new mapper that appeared in this year and he has also prooven to be skilled by getting 2 spotlighted maps here so far. One of them is FS Glomma, which is a temperate 2 players map with a town under fire and threatened by tiberium infestation and devastated land. Each base is in a separate island with few bridges to protect and a lot tiberium to gather. The bridges are definitelly the choke points where commanders should try to control.
(Note: Requires Firestorm)
Shiny Mountain (2-4) - by Crash-King
Shiny Mountain, the second spotlighed map from Crash-King, is a temperate 4 players map with mountain area featuring 2 small towns separated by a big tiberium patch. The build spaces are somewhat limited and the amount of tiberium close to them isn't much either, what makes the tiberium in the center critical. The bases have at least 2 entrances, making it quite easy to protect. This map also features a very nice lighting and environment. Definitelly worth playing!
(Note: Requires Firestorm)
The last 3 maps still need to be analysed before I spotlight them or not. And remember, submit your TS maps to the Tiberian Sun Map Archive and enjoy all the maps available there! Remember that the spotlighted maps are featured in our left menu, at the Tiberian Sun section there. Last edited by Banshee on Sun Mar 25, 2007 7:39 pm; edited 3 times in total QUICK_EDIT

Gah. The RA2 mapping community is full of ztyping wankers. These maps make me want to play Tiberian Sun...or perhaps convert a few of these over to RA2. Thats one thing I'll give the TS community. Good ztyping mappers. _________________ PPM's Reichstrollfuherer, 236th Trollenparties brigade. QUICK_EDIT
lol, I'm pretty active as a mapper.
I've made lots of maps before this ones.
They were all singleplayer.
Glomma is my first multiplayer map.
made about 7 missions before that.
So I wasn't a skilled mapper at first.
Improvement to glomma was huge ! QUICK_EDIT

dont you worry....eventually you will see my skills implemented in RA2/YR but not sure when or how often either........(well.....for sure when the next OMC is cause i plan on doing a map for both TS and RA2 for it )
anyways....its nice to see so many spotlights, 2 of which are my own, but with the increase of quality in maps maybe its time to up the requirements for spotlighting?
well i think so at least. _________________ Kalistia Crestland (2)

imo no map under 100/100 schould be spotlighted, nor any map that has less then 3 players.
still a congrats to all u mappers, i have seen some great maps over the last months, but MAKE BIGGER MAPS!
pretty much my biggest complaint. _________________

Size isn't everything. I always find the big maps look lovely but they're not particularly fun to play. A big map will probably run slowly, especially if you have lots of players. I have a personal preference for smaller maps because they're not immensely boring. If a small, 2-player map can look nice and play well then it deserves spotlighting. _________________
