GTA IV trailer is coming out in two days, guys. Discuss the 2007 Game of the Year(face it, CC3 has nothing on GTA.). What city should it be? The music? The era? Everything, holmes. In 2 days all speculation should be over. Im hoping for London, personally, or Tokyo would be fine, too.

lawl...game of 07!
i dought it,believe me.but i do agree, this game is going to be like nothing of the gta.
what city?hmmm.....
i dunno,i would want tokyo, but the yakuza genre is nearly out-dated,and i dont think it would fit if you were in the situation of cj(san andreas)....london is cool,it would be cool to see that.maybe mertropolis Razz
would be awsome if it as in signapore, detriot, chicago or moscow.....
era....gta has a habbit of taking the times of the 1980-95,they should put it on 2004,and definetly more action(and i dont mean street action...if you know what i mean >_>)

I'd like to see a game where you can go anywhere without having to play for 3 hours to unlock the last islands. I'd rather have the setting in London in '07.

London in 2007?
That would be an interesting addition to the GTA universe with Red Ken's congestion charges automatically draining the players account every 10minutes their driving a vehicle.

That's why you'll be encouraged to nick a hybrid car to save money. When the military come in you'll have to drive around long enough so the military run out of money from their fuel-guzzling vehicles and you'll win!

A GTA where you have to use your brain to win! Ingenious!

Steampunk alternate universe setting with orthicopters and airships. It'll also be a massively multiplayer online game with bi-monthly fees-- World of GTA.

Or futuristic setting with hovercars and hoverboards and hover-anything. All radio stations will play "Classic" tunes from the late 20th to early 21st century.

But seriously, London has been done already in GTA and its many clones. Why do it again?
And if the last three were any indication, it'll be a fictional area based on real life locations... like London except not named "London". Laughing

What? And alienate its demographic?? Absurd. Rockstar loves money.

Yeah London has been done before (twice in two addon packs).

However the last three GTAs (San Andreas, Vice City and Liberty City) have likewise been done before. They are the three original cities that featured in GTA1. If they can all be recreated again, what is the problem with London receiving the same treatment?

Oh shit. Trailer comes out today. And you're not exactly right, LC. San Andreas was just originally based on San Fransisco. It became an entire state, with the originial 'SA' earning the name 'San Fierro'.

I still wish Vinewood was a little bigger...

Actually, San Andreas was based on Las Vegas (Los Ventures), San Fransisco (San Fierro), and I forget the last one.

No, the original San Andreas was only one city, based on San Francisco. It was one of the levels in the original top-down version of GTA.

True my statement was not 100% accurate. Only meant in reference to the names. With the GTA 'cities' getting increasingly larger (to the point of the state of San Andreas) there is a possibility they could just set the next GTA purely in the British Isles and not be limited to just London.

Cop chase from London to Glasgow anyone?

Oh that'll be fun, spend an hour doing a high-speed chase down the M1, then stop at a Little Chef.

I won't say much on this topic.
One: Overrated
Two: Desu, I hope you are joking. I could name off a list of games that will be better(much).

I have always found this series to be very overrated. Graphics and gameplay lacks, imo.

Surprise, surprise. GTA4 is Russki in NYC-- not a fictional city this time around. I guess they ran out of ideas.

I wonder if Cockstar will remove all aircraft..... hahaha, who am I kidding. They love bad attention.

I feel like the only person who stuck to the 2D GTA games, they were far more enjoyable.
