Ini files have been discarded in favor of another format. Modding is right next to impossible until EA releases the mod SDK, which should come out this month.

All posts asking about the currently impossible should be deleted. There should also be a large, red, highly visible, stickied post that reads: "WAIT FOR THE SDK!"

These question posts by random/new ignorant members is getting annoying.

Please let us not confuse what is difficult with what is impossible... telling people flat out that it's not possible will probably discourage people from dabbling with it for themselves.

I appears that you only read the first sentence of my post. The fact there is a stickied topic that tells everyone to wait for the SDK is enough. The majority of the people asking how to mod CNC3 have zero programming and reverse engineering skills.

Thus, even bothering to try is completely pointless. If you kept up with the posts over at Derelict Studios, you'd already know that they've hit a wall and can't continue without the SDK because data is LOST in the final files.

I'm actually quite involved on the C&C3 Editing forum at Derelict Studios... it's where I've released both the tools I've worked on (the w3dm2ase app and the binopener app).

My point was not to discourage, it's merely to get people to go and read everything there is to read BEFORE annoying us asking how to mod when they really can't.
