As the topic says.

I knew how to do this, but this was like, 3 years ago, but I lost interest in TS that long ago, and just got it again with The First Decade and felt like playing again.

I have THIS in the .ini file:
It might look weird, that's because I have no clue what I'm doing >_>;
GrowthRate=0.1 ; minutes between ore (Tiberium) growth
TiberiumGrows=yes ; Does ore grow denser over time?
TiberiumSpreads=yes ; Does ore spread into adjacent areas?

Green Tiberium:
[Riparius]
Name=Tiberium Riparius
Image=1
Power=4
Value=25
Growth=5000
GrowthPercentage=1.00
Spread=1000
SpreadPercentage=1.00

Blue Tiberium:
[Vinifera]
Name=Tiberium Vinifera
Image=3
Value=40
Growth=500
GrowthPercentage=.05
Spread=1000
SpreadPercentage=.05
Power=100 ; 10

Blue Tiberium still grows at the same rate as before -_-
And Green Tiberium will NOT spread beyond the tree.

I know this might look weird, having blue tiberium growing faster then Green. But, I used to have this game type I'd play where I'd defend my base againest a Hard AI for as long as I could before being obliterated.
Hence why blue Tiberium grows faster and Green slower. My base would use Green, and enemy would use Blue.

This was my test results a year ago or something like that whe I fooled around with Tiberium.

GrowthRate= in [General section] is a tag that is obsolete and was used only in C&C Redalert 1 but is ignored by Tiberian Sun and Redalert 2 becaus of the several tiberium types

Growth= controls the delay before the tiberium grows from the smallest crystal to the next stage of size (confirmedby me)

Spread= controls the delay before the tiberium spreads to an adjacent cell. Warning!: if set too low it can spread at an uncontrollable rate and cover the whole level if not contained. (confirmedby me)

GrowthPercentage= I think this entry controls how many steps it grows each time (not confirmed)

SpreadPercentage= I think this entry controls how many new cells it spreads to each time (not confirmed)

The damage of tiberium when a harvester explodes and the toxic's when a solider walks on tiberium "IS" controlled by the Power= line but does not seem to work for the blue [Vinifera] tiberium type but for the rest of them

All tiberium types except the one called Cruentus can be used ingame

On the [BIGBLUE3] in firestrm.ini there is a line called TiberiumToSpawn= and this line controls what tiberium type it should spawn: 0=Riparius, 1=Nothing (would been Cruentus if it worked), 2=Vinifera, 3=Aboreus (all are CONFIRMED) Tthe numbers are based on the [Tiberiums] list in the Rules.ini where 2=Vinifera & 3=Aboreus (1=Spawns Nothing), a tutorial on this is here: http://www.ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5362

This means its possible to add your own tiberium trees that spawns the type Aboreus or Vinifera, ive done it.

To get Aboreus tiberium in Final Sun paint TIB3_xx overlay (can be found in Special/overlay --> All Overlay)

About Green Tiberium will not spreading beyond the tree is a known problem in tiberain sun and cant be fixed. You need to micro manage your harvester to leave more tiberium around the tree untouched.

Do this - Crude ASCII Illustration:

X=tiberium
O=Tree
E=Emty Cell

EXXXE
XXXXX
XXOXX
XXXXX
EXXXE

I see.

The problem there is... I used to have that working. About the Tiberium growing that is.

I don't remember how I did it ._.

Heck, when I messed around with that stuff (Not knowing what I was doing either)
I had a custom map I made myself (Final Sun) fill COMPLETELY full of Tiberium in about 5 minutes... >_>
(It was a rather flat map...)

Oh well. I guess I'll just add extra trees then. Thanks for the help.

The only thing I know is growth rate never works. I set one to 100 and one to 0.1 and nothing works.

I tried Djohe's method and it works yay

Cruentus IS used in game. some skrimish maps have them. using the ugly BIGBLUE image.-- remappable version.

but it does not grow nor spread. nor is it harvestable.

.yet since does have its own overlay set, you can add custom images, and make it explody etc.

so it can be added to maps. perfect for making vinifera fields more interesting....creativity plz!

-btw. Debris= seems to work with voxels. rather than then the CRYSTALxx shps. but it can slow down the game..
