Short story contest?

We're thinking of starting a short story contest. We'll wait until Banshee gets the forum hack in place before we start though, so everyone considering entering can have some time to think. First off, though, I wanna get the general opinion of you guys... How many people do you think will enter the contest?

There will be no real rules, except that it must be game related (And if you have extremely graphic sex or something like that [which I don't expect, but hey, it helps to be prepared], you should put a warning in the name [Ie. WARNING! NC-17 CONTENT!]).

The winner would get a custom rank (Crowd: Ooohhhh shinyyy), which means that Admins and users with a custom rank are excluded from the voting (But you can still enter the contest, just at the end, noone can vote for your story).

So, what do you think? Would anyone want to enter it? It would help get the Fanfic Forum moving again, at least Smile

Don't count me in. I suggest u make a limit to how much they can type. Cos u wouldn't want to read 300,000,,000,000, words would u?

I think the term short story is all thats needed. If some one wants to wright a novel they should post it some place else( Smile

Actually, Awrethien, people CAN post novels here if they want. Any literature is welcome here. For the short story contest, though, I don't think we have to worry about people writing any tomes Wink

You dont need to give 'em to Kane. All you need is to post them in the Short Contest forum Smile

Unfortunately, I've been sick, so I haven't had any time to do anything lately #Tongue

. The forum's hidden for a couple days while I deal with some stuff, but during that time you guys can start writing. Just write a short story about any game, and save it on your HD, and when I unhide the forum you can post it. There aren't really any rules along the lines of content, so don't worry about that (Though if it's NC-17, say so in the subject when you post it)
