the ionstorm is actually a music track. Westwood actually removed the thunder sounds but the tag still works. the track is in Scores.mix

Actually the sounds they used for TS ion storms are pretty much edited clips that were used for the RA1 chronoshpere.

Yes theres many stuff like that in all Westwood games..

OK Iw made normal thunder sound loop but still,where do i need to put it?Scores01.mix?Im using ts:fs.

You can just put it into an expand##.mix ... then edit theme.ini (for TS) or theme01.ini (for FS) - editing those is pretty self-explanatory, the hardest thing is turning the seconds into a decimal.
I think you multiply the seconds by .6 IIRC (it's summer, I can't think math #Tongue )

your half wrong black. if he wants to replace the origoenl ion storm ambient all he has to do is change the file name and put it in an expand mix but if he wants to use that left over tag in rules.ini he will have to put the name in there put the aud file in the expand mix and then edit the sound.ini

to which tag do you refer to?
all i can find are the damage, duration etc tags. no sound

I had a problem with the ionstorm sounds. The problem was caused when I decided to added some soundtracks. The game was playing the track STOMP.aud instead of the ionstorm track. My question is, why would the game play that new track instead of the ionstorm? would this help solve the problem:
