is it possible to make several new para drop sw?
i cloned basicly the tech airport and gave it the image and the superweapon "ParadropSpecial2" and i copied paradropspecial obviously. i then went to the superweapon list and named 13=ParadropSpecial2 and i adden the new building to the building list... everything works actually until i get the time down, when its done i select it (when it says ready) and i get the paradrop icon but when i click it dosent deploy anything and i try the original it works. what am i doing wrong this time
also i doubt its possible but ill ask anyways, how do you make a nw paradrop scheme like instead of 10 GI's on this one i have a bunch of seals... QUICK_EDIT

Are you useing RA2 or YR??
I don't think it can be done without "looseing" an other SW if it's RA2 but if it's YR then it's hope, and a loot of it too _________________ This is a signature QUICK_EDIT

GO HERE donwload NPatchand the MDK and check the MDK for details. It includes a list of superweapos inside the "ReadMe" use it as a base, just remember to add a "action" _________________ This is a signature QUICK_EDIT
My god, what is your problem? Do NOT download the NPatch, for the love of whatever you believe in. Go to the RenegadeProjects file fortress and get the old Rock Patches, or find them elsewhere.
And, it's possible to not need the RP to make a new Paradrop clone. You'd be stuck with the same units from one or the other paradrop, but it's your call. _________________

ok.... lets try on how to not need rock patch..... how would i do it? and what the heck is an npatch? and i went to renegade projects and everything seems dead or broken, anything from Dcoder just takes you to a link that i get even more confused. QUICK_EDIT
RTB is dead, yes. The old Rock Patch is still there, though. Go to the Fortress, then Mirror folder, and Rock Patch Legacy folder has the files.
You might want to read about the few unused actions discovered by whoever during TS SW experimentation. RA2 has another unused action, TibSunBug, but all these non-used actions don't have cursors (bar TibSunBug, which has a blue cursor) and have some not-understood function.
If you open up the EXE in notepad and search for DontUse, you'll see several ones. It's as simple as using one of those actions to get a SW that has no cursor, but works as a SW. _________________

so your saying it may be because im using it as superweapon 13? so what i need to do is replace a unused superweapon? im so confused XD im really sorry, im still horrible at modding so try explaining in noob form. QUICK_EDIT
First view your existing rules.ini entries of superweapons like the American Paradrop to discover how they work. It is quite simple.
You have to atach you superweapon to a building (Superweapon=XXX),
then you have to add that superweapon to the Superweapon list and finally you have to create a new section behind the existing ones to define your superweapons properties. ([Name_of_your_SW])
But there's also an workaround to have one more paradrop without any hacks:
[I can't find it. Maybe someone could add this link. It was a tutorial which shows how to clone the American ParaDrop so that it seems that there is one more] _________________ Teammember of the German Gamers Association

I say to not use NPatch because of the fact anything you do has to fall under an iron fist will and dictatorial rules that would make your mod incompatable and unable to be played the minute a new patch came out. Easier to stick to the underground RP, and just packaging it in.
You're thinking of the tutorial at Deezire, Gordon.

Nice for you
It is not shure if "NP 1.00" is incompatable with "NP 1.01"
But as far as I remember, RP did change some tags too. Some at the lightningstorm I think. But, I don't care, I realy don't want to strart a wart of this, after all, the question is awnserd, so this should be locked now... _________________ This is a signature QUICK_EDIT

i dead what the tutorial said and it made things worst... so im assuming i either did something wrong or something, but how would i make it to have multiple paradrop actions, im thinking of giving each country a special paradrop and making curtain supports like sniper support, seal support, etc. QUICK_EDIT
Then I propose to use RockPatch or NPatch. See my previous posts for links.
In case you're using RockPatch, check out the MDK or the help file that comes with it.
In case you're using NPatch, download the MDK to gain the knowledge you need to add several ParaDrops.
I recommend RockPatch, the RPCE versions are the best I guess. _________________ Teammember of the German Gamers Association

Get rid of your anti-Npatch crap, weather you like Npatch or not leave the patch alone, let the guy make his own decision, and if it fixes his problem then good for him. QUICK_EDIT
Also, if you had actually paid attention instead of going for a shot at assaulting me, you'd see that my only anti-NPatch is my opinion, which I absolutely refuse to remove.
And I agree with Gordon, you'll need RP or NPatch to achieve this effect. Or a lot of triggers on maps. _________________
