C&C wil be 'revolutionized' in August 7th.
Subject description: Following the schedule, they'll announce the expansion of C&C3.
According to the Intel Section of the Official C&C Site, there will be a revolution in August 7th. What kind of revolution is that was not announced yet.
But we know that, in 2003, Generals was released in february... and Zero Hour announced in july. So, 5 months. Last year, BfME2 was released in march and expansion announced on late july. Also, about 5 months.... and C&C3 was released on late march... so expansion should be announced on early august. Fair enough, isn't it? Now, honestly, this isn't really a revolution. Unless, they are talking about the Patch 1.07 being released with the mod SDK. Or... they could surprise us all with a patch for TFD and some old C&C games, but we all know EA and the probability of such patch being null.
Anyway, something will happen. They are creating a lot of hype on it and... in the end of the day, it will not match your expectations. Sorry for being pessimistic, but I've watched this movie many, many times. QUICK_EDIT

lolll. Atleast this game wont need the X-pack to be good like TS. BBut yes this was going to happen from the beginning, of course. All games do this. I love how quick you guys are to judge EA yet not complain at all about WW's flaw with C&C and crappy X-packs. I think the fact that the news item actually says C&C3 will be revolutionised does away with that.
Mod SDK and Patch 1.07 downloads and an expansion/booster announcement/download is more than likely. It'll have to be a hell of an expansion to revolutionise the game though. No amount of new maps, campaign missions and units is going to be revolutionary. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

It says in particular C&C3, so any other games can't be involved...
Carno for god sake stop going on about EA and how we all jump to defend westwood, god you don't shut up about it your like a broken tape recorder reapting the same thing, WE GET YOUR OPINION there is no need to put in every topic "westwood is shit stop bashing EA".
For all we know it could be an expansion pack that comes with patch 1.07 and the disc contains the SDK, would sound like a neat package and I mean, modders will buy it for the SDK especially. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

The TD units appeared in TS as wreckages and unuseable units and the TS units appear in CnC 3 as wrecks and unuseable units. As much of a fan I am of mechs I think the Mammoth MkII was a bit odd and I'm glad it was not in CnC 3 as the TS version, and yes I know all your mech haters out their will pull out your " tanks are more logical" card but in the Tiberian Fictional universe G.D.I decided mechs were better than tanks and that worked fine. Sure mechs may be overused, cliche and the TS mechs may not have been successful but it is the game designers job to try and make poor ideas or concepts good ones and mechs certainly can be made good in this newer engine. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
ok, I'm gonna try to look at this with a more optomistic poitn of view. Since it is a revolution, then something old is going to be changed. Maybe the balance of power, maybe the technology, maybe tiberium will revolutionize itself. Who knows. I have a couple of guesses
1)The forgotten establish themselves as a power
2)Cabal does something
3)Second wave of scrin
4)tiberium mutations (wildlife)
5)Maybe they'll have different generals like in zero hour. If so I hope theres a Mech General for GDI and a Cybernetic general for Nod.

it's EA i'll wonder it this game dont have X-pack. i dont know why people hate x-pack but i personaly like it.
only C&c 3 can revolution in my opinion is remake it to fit with previous story and design.
after i finish play C&c3 i see C&c game cant go back to connect with previous game forever and Tiberian series will cant End, because they ignore everthing in previous game, now i understand why EA choose to use "Tiberium Wars" to be it name.
i'll wait to see when C&c3 going to be StarCraft when Kane lead Human invade alien planet to beat the Scrin out.

Well if EA is gonna revolutionize the game, something may very well be implemented that will change the overall gameplay. Sure I know EA generally screwed up this game but in all honesty I think they want us to enjoy it.
*It could be SDK in that modders can change the game
*It probably wont be a patch seeing as EA's strategy for patching isnt very dramatic or "revolutiuonary."
*It could be an expansion which greatly diversifies the teams.

The SDK and Patch 1.07 have to be released together It's a well known fact that the SDK won't work without the patch, so please do some more research before posting unnecessary comments _________________ QUICK_EDIT

Thats true, because even with the expansion pack C+C3 will be worse the Generals as a game. Atleast TS was playable without the expansion, i cant play C+C3 more then an hr before i get bored of it.
And C+C3 is the only tiberian universe game i havent finished the campaigns for (I finished RA1, TD, TS/FS and even Generals/Zero hour campaigns), so that must say alot for it.
As for the 'revolutionary', its just the patch/SDK, which for EA's standards is revolutionary (Where is that TFD patch we have been waiting almost a year for ) QUICK_EDIT

Hmm... I might add that they haven't changed anything on the actual news page (yet), so C&C TV might not be the only thing they're tossing out. But I wouldn't get my hopes up, they're taking so long with the new patch as it is... _________________
