Plea to Banshee

I was just reading a magazine called Popular Science and it stated that when a screen uses white color instead of black, it uses 20% more power. Thats alot of wasted energy for something we really don't pay attention to, SO HELP SAVE THE ENVIORMENT!!! Recolor the forums less brightly! That way, the rain forests won't die... bit of an exageration, but we should do what we can to help out the world. So what do ya think Banshee?

I red about the same thing, but do you know that it also damages your eyes? The black backround, I mean.

it doesn't have to be black, it could be just darker colors.

What is this, the "stupid request of the day" thread?

(Just use Firefox + Stylish and restyle the site for yourself. I do, although for reasons completely unrelated to "omg must save rainforests".)

Or instead we could get the people who really use energy (industries) to cut down. Or switch to different sources of power (nuclear, wind, hydroelectric, tidal) so this becomes pointless.
Instead of doing this, why not lower the brightness on your own monitor (since I'm sure that'll help too) or do as DCoder said and sort it yourself?

Actually, I agree with him. Just not because "zomg save planet", I just prefer darker forum skins. ^_^ Was pretty disappointed when I found out the new PPM has all light skins. Crying or Very sad

Why not,just put some anime dude/girl in the background and show all these cnc screens =)
and DA,your actually offending,cause you have no colours on your sig and ava,actually non at all which means you have white...ROAR...
