BOATF wishes to destroy MG
Subject description: "omg it r unregistered!? destroy itz!"
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms wishes to destroy an unregistered machine gun, comparable to a SAW or some such heavy weapon.
But it's not just ANY HMG.. it's a Maxim WW1-era German machine gun Sgt Alvin York captured, made famous by the 1941 movie "Sergeant York". It's unregistered because it was sitting in a library since.. well.. WWI, forgotten about.
Yup. Pretty much "omg it r a machine gun?! unregistered!? destroy it!1! who kares if it'z history!1"
Ironically.. said HMG is.. A, not in any condition to be fired currently, B, has no ammunition, meaning, even if it WAS in a fire-able condition, it wouldn't be useful anyways, and C, it's pretty much a "museum relic".

ORCACommander has brought up the intelligent and obvious thing to do, that everyone knows should be done. But why won't this be done? Because all the ATF cares about is its ***-****ed anti-gun bull-****, and its ****ing red tape and regulation crap. I say gun control can go to ****, and its Congressional backers should just go **** themselves.
Interestingly, they presume to trust the gun to Clinton and Kennedy. She won't do anything one way or the other since she's running for president, to even touch the matter is suicide in the presidential election. Why? If she denies help and the gun is destroyed, she'll lose backers because she helped in the destruction of a priceless piece of history, and if she helps out the gun-people she'll lose backers because she is going back on her gun control opinions. She'll stay out of it, but I don't know a single thing about the other person.
By the way, I'm heavily pro-Second Amendment (the Right to Bear Arms). I own a hunting rifle (30.06), a handgun, two airsoft guns, a paintball gun, and if I get the permit I may soon own an AR-15. Probably not though, since I don't think I could afford it since I'm now saving money for college. Oh well, college is much more important. _________________ When you've convinced yourself that killing an animal is 'murder', but killing an unborn human being is 'choice', you sir have become as dangerous as a person can be.
This BS just goes to show that you should not write rules in stone; there will always be exceptions, and trying to foresee them is an exercise in futility.
How luxurious is a person's life if they have time to "be offended" by jokes and casual phrases like "happy holidays", or try to destroy historical artifacts to satisfy the endless walls of red tape that surround them? In Africa there are people dying of hunger, thirst, AIDS, murder, etc., and there are still people who give a shit about getting rid of one unregistered firearm. _________________
