The IFV has more detail on it, makes it look less bland.

The Chrono Prism's cameo looks like a default XP background...with a black line to separate the grass from the cloudy sky.

I'll have to dissent and say I don't like the terrain as much as the original RA2, it looks to lack contrast IMO. Few of the cameo backgrounds could be better too, I'd generate them in terragen or something and composite onto them when you render. There are plugins and other software to help you camera match between terragen and 3DS Max.

This may sound stupid, but what i really love in that picture are the slopes, cause they are noticable, but also blend in well, so they don't stick out too much, unlike most of the WW slopes... Immense stuff! Smile

that yuri refinery is nicely don (but why does it have bio tanks on it?)

also, I don't like those yuri planes.. too big, and undetailed

the yellow and black dotted lines look nice for some, but it's way overused (why tanks would even have that is beyond me #Tongue )

The rest though is superb! nice work dude Smile

I have decided to release a public alpha for a few reasons.

#1: I am so tied up with college work that I have a very limited time to work on any of this stuff. So it would be a wail before I actually finish this mod, as there is still alot to do with mod.

#2: People always ask me when im going to release some of my new GFX's releasing well as I have stated many times im gonna hold off on releasing any more GFX's tell this mod is done. So just to show were im at so for, I went with a public alpha.

Remember this is an alpha. this is far from balanced or perfect. There are alot of little errors and slip ups... but i have yet to find an IE...

NOTE* I have yet to finish the site. Only the download page works... Also! credits have yet to been given and they will be up later today or tomorrow.

i love this mod its well done just the soviets are a bit unbalanced there quickly killed by Yuri and the Allies but i like the Allies and Yuri there very well done but some of the models could use a touch up but part from that its well done looking forward to a new release

Well ya there is progress but very slow. Im busy with alot of stuff. But here soon I will release a patch that fix's some balance crap. And the site will be up-dated more, still it wont be 100% but it will be getting there.

The last two pics are magnificent. The new railroad is immense.

That pipe looks nice, but the water animation just looks unnatural, without the rings. Add them and it'd be perfect.

yeh i realy like the terrain too and with train tracks its a must have i always woundered why westwood didn't put the rain and tracks in the original game? any way can't wait for next release i hope u includ all they's new features Very Happy

Added a WIP of a bridge, Also up-dated that pipe thing... (Last post by me. I should have waited tell I did more work to it. But oh well.)

I used about 25, and that filled a map 100x100. And i don't get any lag, and the laptop i play on isn't the greatest. So it works very well.

Yes the rain animation is by Gamemate. And no... sorry I wont hand out his work. If you want to use it you have to get it yourself.

Thanks! But there is a problem with the tracks as they are... As they are just tiles and not overlays... Witch has a slight problem... May go back some day and make them overlays... But when i first tried it didn't seem to work... SO oh well tiles are fine with me for now.

MECHS NEED SHADOWS.

Ehm, yeah, sorry. That really bothered me #Tongue
The rest seems like really cool stuff, but that seriously needs some fixing.

Also, the bridges need to have gfx fading into the water IMO. The cut off is a bit too sudden.

Mechs that are made out of voxels have the problem that only 1 section can cast a shadow, and because a mech is made out of multiple parts, it displays a partional or no shadow Wink
