Patch 1.08 comming soon!

Due to an unexpected problem with mothership, the Ion Cannon that APOC announced on Battle Cast to stop Mothership rush has missed its target. Greg Kasavin has announced a hotfix patch to no longer allow players to select the unit by drawing a box:

"Hey, I wanted to announce that we have an emergency 1.08 patch coming soon, which will address one specific problem with the recently-released 1.07 patch, involving the Scrin Mothership unit. Thanks to those of you who quickly made us aware of the problem. To everyone affected by it, we appreciate your patience under the circumstances as we proceed to get a fix out there as quickly as possible.

We will do everything we can to have this patch ready for you this Friday. For various logistical reasons, this might not be possible, though I wanted to let you know our intent and that we've been working to fix the problem since we learned of it.

Please feel free to comment in this thread if you feel the need, though I ask that you keep your comments reasonably constructive of only out of respect for other forum users.

So, my little suggestion here is to use the patching feature that comes with the game instead of manually downloading it from EA site every time they release one, otherwise you'll go crazy and won't do anything else in your life.

I knew the Mothership was meant to be faster but why is that a problem? Surely EA did it for a damn reason.

Ehh, Banshee, maybe it's just my bad internet, but downloading from EA site (which is all patches in 1, about 190 MB) takes much less time then downloading the 1.06 and 1.07 patches with the TW Update-option (which is about 88 MB, and takes up to 40 houres Mad

Just a small question: is it my bad internet, or is the Update option from TW just over-used at the moment because of the new patch(es)?[/b]

It is your bad internet, because my update here was very fast.

It seemed to be going quite slow on the auto update for me too, so I just downloaded it from the site.
I was waiting on the Mod SDK download and the sample files anyway so it didn't bother me.
