Subject description: the Scorpling

he is the scorpling. It's a light small fast moving robot which carry a short range laser. It comes with the hatch, a vehicle I haven't already made, that undeploys in a war factory of a third side so it can produce scorplings only. Combined with the nod carryal of wihch you can see the cameo inn the ingame screenshot) it can be pretty nasty : enemies don't expect to see swarms of laser scorpion comming from a remote part of their base.

Thanks for commenting.
Its harmless look isn't bad for it's a tiny unit that is weak and very cheap (so you can produce hundreds of them and swarm the ennemy base !).

it's really cute. Too bad that you haven't made it as an shp. Then you could make it as an infantry allowing even bigger swarms and firing animations.

You could use this as the hatch Wink (just a little bit house advertising Very Happy )

I know an shp would have been better but I don't know how to use 3D model programs. I'm thus bound to shp with few frames or voxels.
I had already seen your scorpion and I must admit it's one of the most impressive thing I ever seen in TS modding. I don't think I'll use it thought because I try to do all the stuff in my mod by myself.
I think also you scorpion is better as you coded it (I mean an assault walker) than as a factory.

I'd make the legs a tad darker..

it's a nice design, definitely. it's like a terror drone for Nod..
Maybe something you could spam up on like zergs, and blitz the the other guy.

Yes indeed. Actually, there is a strong starcraft influence in my work ; there were plenty of good things in that old game (it's not a coincidence if it met such a succes.

I'll darken the leg too.
