I'll release this Soviet building after I've fixed shadows & lighting & etc. and I won't give any information untill the release... Enjoy!

EDIT: I have finally returned to continue this project and about a month ago I fixed the lighting, I also added bumps to the bricks few weeks ago.

Is it just me, or have you remade the Soviet Naval Yard in a 3D program. Looks good though Cool

The boxes need a texture, but I'm sure you know that. The brick work doesn't look like its the right colour either. What program are you using?

All I can say is that the building is not a "remake"
because it has a special purpose, but I technically took some example from the Naval Yard's concept. And I started to make it by a request...

Ripples, yes.

Soviet Con.Yard, sorry no.

Boxes, they'll have a new texture. Wink

I think the bricks are just fine, but they might look better when I have fixed the lighting.

And I'm using 3DS MAX 9...

It's a nice model, looks too cartoony though.
Even for RA2.

That might well just be the lighting though.

All it needs is to tone down the lighting by 50% and add some more rust and dirt. And you'd have a great building.

You should add shading on the grey pipe to the left so it looks less flat and some texture are a bit too uniform (such as the white pavement and the loader). Apart from these details, it's very nice.

The sub section of the pipe in the SE corner would look better with a slight shade on the right side. It's nothing really grave but it can be achieve really easily.

Still needs darker colouration. And some small pieces of rust wouldn't hurt at all.

But definetly improved over the previous.

I think I'm not able to finish this so anyone who really wants this in .max (3dsmax9) file with all the textures catch me via msn.

I would like the textures and ra2-looking building stuff very much (e.g., the max and textures).

I won't guarente that I will finish this building in specific (I may not have the skill yet), but with the very ra2 matching stuff in this I will be able to make other ra2 soviet buildings for other purposes (to help a mod that is in ra2/yr era, or for making public assets).
