Well, I don't want to make house colours for all my units, and mess up their looks. What I'm wanting to do is make the little things that show up on the ground when you select a unit visible all the time. Does anybody have any idea on how this could be done?

Can't be done. Just use house colours. All the other CnC games have managed all right.

Make a small plane, add it to the underside of the unit, make it semitransparent and make it team coloured. That may do it, although I am not too sure.

How about just have the logo on the sides of the unit and any other markers Smile

By that, I meant it can't be done well Confused Care to give a better explanation?

make a always visible decal in the units draws?!
look at a building who has this when selectet (gdi warfactoy for example), copy the code and fit it to your needs. optionally you make a new decal textur for this

Okay, thanks ccgx, I think I've found the code I need, I'll try it out tomorrow after school.

Hmm, can't seem to get it to show, I've copied the code from the war factory but it seems that it does nothing. I may be doing something wrong, but I can't be sure.

Does anybody know where the code for the ground decals that are already present when you select a unit are located? I was thinking that I may be able to manipulate them to always be visible.

it wouldn't be possible to do this. this decals are from
data/Globaldata/ExperienceLevels.xml.
you have change that it is online visible when it's selected.
change it like this: [look at the attachment, insert code seams not to work]

with this code, the shown decal is the default state and not just when you select a unit.

Quick question, how did you get the units to have no team colours, as I cannot seem to do that on my model. (Also, I don't have Photoshop)

make an housecolor textur with a complete black alpha channel, so there will be no place where housecolor is enabled

I just use ObjectsGeneric as a shader instead of GDI, Nod, or Scrin
