EA's Scrin Tripod...... Sorry I mean the Tripod from War of the Worlds that they stole the design from Twisted Evil .

And EA's fighter, i mean War of the Worlds 'Tripod'/Fighting machine from 1950's War of the Worlds movie.

I'm sure if I looked hard I could find more EA design ripoffs Razz

Nah, I'm really being serious Rolling Eyes No, seriously, I'm trying to make a point about this. People attack EA over 'stolen designs', when 90% of nearly everything these days has been inspired by one thing or another.

The only similaritie is the fact that both have 3 legs... which may be duo the fact that both are tripods... Rolling Eyes
Nor the weapon, the legs, the arms or the face are similiar to the EA tripod, so calling EAs design "stolen" is very far-fetched...

Same goes for the fighter, where the only similaritie is the basic shape, which is quite common for UFOs in games....

H.G.Wells practilly invented the Alien invasion genre. Pretty much every game which mentions an alien is somehow linked to his ideas and the War of the Worlds book. Read the book. (He also wrote about wrote about tanks in a short story he called "The Land Ironclads" (which was written in 1903!). There would be no science fiction today without him.
