Just look at that snow shift between pics, it's just an overlay painted in photoshop.
They told you what...
Prime this isn't even a find! This is worthless info! pointless as can be! Its snow that has been added on, in an image editor... SO ztyping what I have done the same thing. Its some thing that happens! No ones perfect! And you are not either. _________________ MadHQ's Graveyard - Click here!

I thought it was kinda well known that WW doctored a lot of their screens in photoshop after making them. It's where you get those really neat OpenGL blended explosions or walls with multiple different damage images or whatnot.
The snow isn't really as shocking all things considered. _________________

No RA2 screenshots had OpenGL-blended explosions. Yuris revenge had the different walls though.
Red Alert 2's major photoshops were the muzzle flashes and the snow. _________________

It's umpossible thay could has changes things between screenshots ya? Is never has happaned evars!
Jesus, who cares if they just added overlays or if it was a slight build change? Regardless of which ones it is - it's a promotional image before it's a screen shot of course it's going to be bloody tweaked in photoshop. QUICK_EDIT

It was the exact same build. I'm just pointing out one of the 2 things that they did. It proves they had a lot less done when they made those screenshots than originally assumed. _________________

For you is worthless info maybe.
I like this kind of information thanks Prime.
Anyways, they some gonna make a Red Alert 2 mod like is gonna be before is was released then they need this snow!. That's nice information to them. _________________ Can you hide from me ? QUICK_EDIT
The most suspicious thing about the explosions is their offsets, and size. Quite frankly, they look just like the faked explosions on the old TS screenshots.

Missile trails are real...
Maybe the V3s or dreds (likely dreds since they retardedly enough had shadows (hey look I'm a missile FLAME, a LIGHT SOURCE and golly gee, I have a shadow)), but the GGI missiles on the back of the YR box, the scene of the London mission... major 'shop job. Also added bonus of the GGIs in the lower left of the same image being clones of one another, all the exact same frame... hmmm.

It's not. This and muzzle flashes are IT.
Explosion lighting at the very least was tampered with. There is a scene of a night map from the original inside cover art of RA2 which showed prism tanks getting pwned by a tesla coil, with what looked like a perfectly blended alpha image light burst from said tesla bolt. The game can handle bot combat lighting, and alpha images, but if those two were ever combined, they'd still be working. _________________

Anyway, this really IS pointless info.
This is pointless info.
Prime started a discussion succesfully and as it seems some people do want to know about that, so could we please try to keep such low-quality-posts back? Thanks! _________________ audiopulse sagt:

Nothing is useless info. Except maybe things like identifying which of 70 extinct sea snakes are poisonous or how to navigate the open seas using only a piece of string and a clay model of your grandfather. That said, this is kinda useless, but who knows, maybe it could one day come in handy. _________________

Stop bitchin about if this is pointless info or not. For those who think it is pointless: why do you post here then

It seems more likely to me that they didn't have the code to choose the image based on the terrain done yet, rather than the graphics done, since obviously they could have just used what they have there. _________________

The code to choose image based on terrain is in Tiberian Sun.
It wouldn't just disappear, since the RA2 engine is a simple upgrade. _________________

You're right, no features of TS were broken in the process of modifying the engine.
I'm sure that if they broke such a central feature, they'd fix it. And manually applying the arctic art does not explain ONLY the snow shifting, not the building itself. _________________
