hello
I have been looking for a way to make the Bruts harder to beat
I don't mean smarter and more likly to kill me
I mean harder to finish off
having them re build up faster

the way they are if you can just survive the first 5-10 minutes
there is no chalange at all

I did a search for brut in the INI files figureing I would just find there settings and play with them a bit
but found nothing

Do you mean the brutes, as in yuri unit, or the brutal ai?

well, the ai will never be smart tactics wise, but you can always increase how much they send at you or how much of base defences, factories, etc they build. The amount of units they build is under the ai.ini (aimd.ini for YR). For the amount of buildinggs they build, try looking up "AlliedBaseDefenseCounts=25,20,6" in the rules.ini (crtl+f is find), you will find an area for base defences, and you can edit how many they build.

I ment the brutal AI

I tried adding
AlliedBaseDefenseCounts=50,40,12
SovietBaseDefenseCounts=50,44,12
to a map
the AI chose USSR
and built NO air defence
but id did build a lot of miny guns

Easiest way would be to enable the AI Generals. But if your using YR (and who isn't?) then the best way would be to crank up the build speed, and make the counts of the structures 35, 35, 30; because in reality its more of a priority list. Otherwise, you'd have to be very good at AI and make AI generals for the third side. (very time consuming, maybe I'll make one later to post, if I'm bored...)

The AI generals are worthless without AI file editing, and they're built to work with GDI and Nod since it's a TS leftover. In other words, it does not work with Yuri.

If you're really intent on using them, make sure you have ai.tlb from TibSun to prevent random IEs.
