IsBase does not work. Try reading the entire topic, mmkay?

Also, the only thing that matters about this is the negative money when building a unit. Everything else is mod specific.

Oh, by the way, the enitre rules.ini is littered with comments noting IsBase is not a valid flag. Sooo... You're either blind or you just ripped this from some random place.

take it easy: darknessvolt is using suggestions posted in the crapped topic located in the crap forum.

it's true that it may be considered cheating but the point here is, as Clazzy suggested, it has the potential to become a good resource generator. it just needs some balancing.

i.e., if you're being overrun and you lost all your resource gatherers, this simple code can be used as a one-time instant money thing to help you out (much like a god-power in Age of Mythology). the balancing part here is that the instant-money-building should be coded in such a way that players will not be able to abuse it.

@ darknessvolt,

I think vOi!king ship means that it should be BaseNormal=no. is that right (I used to think that IsBase=yes/no worked for TS)? I haven't tried modding RA2 in years... sorry.

Since this is better idea than the crapped one I won't touch it.

You could try to use this tag for the building:
BuildLimit=-1

And it doesn't matter if the building invisible, immune and stuff because the building can be built only once.

Exactly. Or, to make it even more balanced - 5 buildings, each giving some portion of the money, as to give several helping hands at different times.

It could also be side-specific, to show the country's economical potential. Would go great with unit limitations (imagine a real world mod - Luxembourg - tiny army, huge money reserves #Tongue).

ok, first off you place a : instead of a ; in your first area. secondly this has a little thing i discovered that money is what makes the ranking system works (veterans, elites) and what they do is when they destroy something with a similar cost or more they get a rank up, if they get a lower then they just add up. if they have destroyed something twice the cost of that unit then they get to become elites. if you build these then they will lose there ranks for it is - value which means - rank.

also if you would use rockpatch then you could make a superweapon.


so over all you not only made a bad tutorial but a tutorial that is in the wrong area.

i do not believe in ignoring noobs for if you do not tell them they made a mistake they will not learn. i had to learn mod making from look at other peoples work because people ignored me.
