Video question

Hi,
I'd like to use a BINK movie I made as the briefing video for the first soviet mission (it's nothing special, just a little slideshow and some text about what the player should do in the mission). The problem is that when it plays in the game it has no sound (when I open the file manually with RAD video tools, it works properly). I think my video uses a sound format that is different from the original ones. I checked "File info", and the only difference I found is that the original vids use "old format" sound.
Can someone help me to get this work?

You have to make the audio in the old format. There is a way to do it, but i cant remember, i think you have to set 100 in the compression...

I think more accurately you have to add 100 to whatever you want the compression to be.

Sorry to bump, but I tried this and it comes out as ear-rape, both ingame and played from the bink player. I used wav and mp3. Does anyone have any other ideas? I'm using Vista on my laptop if that's any help...

Try it on XP, then let us know how it goes and check for updates that might improve vista compatibility. Using Vista complicates things, not helps :p

Worst case scenario, get a virtual machine like VM ware and run XP under it for rendering the video. You'll loose a bit of performance, but it will probably work.
