Subject description: Soviet Invasion Confirmed at EA.com!
The official RA3 site and forums are online. The site contains 2 screenshots and one render. Also the information of the beta that we posted years ago, except with a bit more details. Also, the press release. And the forums are together with the other C&C forums (Note: Tiberium is not C&C and it has its separate forums).

EA REWRITES HISTORY IN COMMAND & CONQUER: RED ALERT 3
Be Among the First to Return to Red Alert with the Exclusive Beta Invite in Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath or the Command & Conquer 3 Limited Collection
Redwood City, Calif., February 14, 2008 – After a seven-year hiatus, Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced the return of Red Alert, one of the most beloved and best-selling real time strategy (RTS) series of all time. Command & Conquer™: Red Alert™ 3, for the PC, Xbox 360TM video game and entertainment system and the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, takes players on an epic adventure to a breathtaking alternate future spawned by time travel run amok . Developed by EA Los Angeles, Red Alert 3 breaks new ground in the RTS genre, featuring a fully co-operative campaign while bringing back the series’ light-hearted style and classic, action-oriented gameplay.
“The Red Alert games are known for challenging hardcore strategy gamers with depth, variety, and innovative gameplay. But they also belong to that rare breed of games that can draw in more casual players with their over-the-top stories, instantly accessible mechanics, and straight-to-the-fun design,” said Mike Verdu, General Manager of EALA. “With Red Alert 3, our team is continuing that proud tradition by introducing genre-first features like co-operative campaign play, which rewards veterans and casual players alike. In Red Alert 3, friends and family can always have your back!”
“It’s been too long.” said Chris Corry, Executive Producer at EALA. “Fans have been waiting for a new Red Alert game for seven years, and we’re working hard to ensure its well worth the wait. The team is staying true to the series’ roots while adding new elements like a co-operatively played story-driven campaign, an astounding new faction that will shake-up the Red Alert universe as we know it, and units that will help make Red Alert 3 everything our fans have been waiting for. And by bringing naval combat into the heart of the game design, we’re transporting that fast, fun and fluid C&C gameplay to the high-seas in ways that you’ve never seen before.”
In Red Alert 3, the desperate leadership of a doomed Soviet Union travels back in time to change history and restore the glory of Mother Russia. The time travel mission goes awry, creating an alternate timeline where technology has followed an entirely different evolution, a new superpower has been thrust on to the world stage, and World War III is raging. The Empire of the Rising Sun has risen in the East, making World War III a three-way struggle between the Soviets, the Allies, and the Empire with armies fielding wacky and wonderful weapons and technologies like Tesla coils, heavily armed War Blimps, teleportation, armored bears, intelligent dolphins, floating island fortresses, and transforming tanks.
Red Alert 3 asks the question “What If?” What if every bizarre research project and technology experiment for the last 70 years had actually borne fruit? What if the Philadelphia Experiment, time travel theory, teleportation, invisibility, Tesla technology, and a hundred other intriguing research projects had all paid off and gone mainstream? What if the Soviet Union survived and thrived; what would it look like 10 years in the future? What if the Japanese Empire had never fallen and instead became the ultimate high-tech military superpower? The end result is an imaginative and playful vision of an alternate future filled with possibility.
Command & Conquer fans eager to experience Red Alert 3 before anyone else can get early access to the beta1 by picking up a copy of Command & Conquer™ 3: Kane’s Wrath or the Command & Conquer 3 Limited Collection later this year.

Seriously EA think of new ideas you fail on epic scale.

Heavily armed war blimps anyone?

Wow armoured, enhanced animals?
Oh and finally transforming tanks, never seen that before?!
Yeah we need a Redalert3 Editing Forum, im interested in RA3 compared to my interest for (not C&C) Tiberium
Nothing is too early Banshee
One thing I cant understand however is how they can work on threee games at once:
C&C3 Kain's Wrath (Expansion)
C&C Redalert3
Tiberium
And ofcourse the numerous incarnations of C&C3 like for Xbox360 and Mobile
(By the way the Mobile version would have been better of with a ported version of a older C&C/Dune game)
I wonder what they had to sacrifice this time QUICK_EDIT

As I said on tibweb, other companies do it too; as far as I remember, and to post an example, Blizzard stated that they were working on other 3 projects when they announced WoW's first expansion pack.
Also is not a big deal, RA3 will use the same engine, or sightly modified, so it the end it will be like a TW/KW mod. And Tiberium is being worked by a diferent branch, right? QUICK_EDIT
While technically you are right in a way, don't say that.
I turn around that point of view and say that Tiberium games are always demos of the upcoming RA titles! QUICK_EDIT

the second decade is shaping up pretty nicely; Tiberium Wars, Kane's Wrath, Tiberium, Red Alert 3. 4 games thus far. btw, i wonder if red alert 3 will have a sub-title. CC:RA3:Return of Tesla? Empire Rising? Laser Catz? _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
prism upgradable monkeys maybe?
only good stuff EA made so far with the second decade istiberium wars, kanes wrath, and tiberium. Those from EA got a nice image about tiberium saga but about the RA2 saga they dont have the slightest idea QUICK_EDIT

Erm, that's about everything they did?
As in you're 100% content with it, but yet complain?
People like you are taking my good mood really.
Remember EA is responsible for bringing us RA2 and YR.
If it wasn't for EA, those games would not exist right now.
Haha, I remember when Tiberium Wars was announced, same moans and complaints by all the Tiberium guys.
And now you like, play and mod the game. How ironic. QUICK_EDIT

lol, just proves EALA couldn't design a unique/new unit if their lives depended on it.
Didnt even know about alot of those. What I dont get is why most of the designs in RA3 dont look very RAish to me, more like Generals/TW. I think EALA are set in 1 design style and dont adapt very well to those already set in RA/Tiberium universes, its whats really killing the games.
Lets see how the demo/beta goes, perhaps they have better stuff hidden and not reveiled yet. QUICK_EDIT
holy shit this is bitchin news... but the pics in the media section look like they're from a really good C&C3 mod _________________ With sadness in my heart and joy in my mind QUICK_EDIT
I actually completely disagree with AG's whole 'EA stolzors our mod ideas!!!111!' thing. Lets re access that facts then, hmm?
1) Armoured, enhanced animals = Chitzkoi from RA1.
2) Heavily armed war blimps = RA2 Kirov Airship. They can even be seen in some of the art on the RA3 site.
3) Transforming Tanks = Tick Tank Tiberian Sun. EA owned Westwood then. Can a game company really be blamed for stealing it's own stuff?
4) Buildings on water = Naval Shipyard. Seriously a real no-brainer.
5) Tesla Boat = Sea based Tesla Tank. EA wouldn't have needed to look at any mods to come up with that idea.
I think it's almost rather arrogant to assume that EA is stealing ideas from us. In fact most of the ideas AG listed were already in some CnC game in one form or another. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

Transforming Tanks is a reference to the Mirage Tanks you nutters. Dick Tanks just burrow, they don't transform. _________________ PPM's Reichstrollfuherer, 236th Trollenparties brigade. QUICK_EDIT

Just carrying the message.
Anywho, seems a tad overkill that he gets a ban for that, saying what he pointed out is true, right down to the names of the tanks.
And Allied General, you used some GOD ztyping AWFUL EXAMPLES.
1: Naval buildings. Big deal that a mod added them. Seriously. BIG DEAL. ONE NOTEWORTHY MOD.
Tesla Boat- It eludes me as to why this was never in RA2 to begin.
2: Heavily Armored War Blimp- Heard of the ztyping Kirov Airship? No? Oh, well good to know you have heard of Lao Tze's Kirov Gunship.
3: Armored-enhanced animals? You know, I herd sum things about a little mechanical doggy that accompanied the badass Volkov. His name was Chitzkoi. He came before Dark Elf's SHP. Please note that Chitzkoi is in the RA series canon. Upgrading the concept for RA3 is perfectly within bounds.
4: Transforming tanks...ahh, yes...Westwood was indeed a master. The Dick Tank, which oh---wait, what? It deployed and burrowed into the ground? Oh. I guess you can call that a transformation. Well, in that case, RA2 had transforming infantry. See how the GI put the sandbags around him and pulled out an M60?
Or yeah, just about everything TX said. _________________ YR modder/artist, DOOM mapper, aka evanb90

Big whoop. It wouldn't take a genius to come up with an idea like that. I really don't understand why AG is making such a fuss over such a little thing. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
Personally it comes down the campagn, and TW really failed misurably in that reguard, I dont see how RA3's could be any better. In the end all we can do is wait and see. QUICK_EDIT
Good question. And I agree, those theft claims were ludicrous.
Dutchy: Yes, the Mirage tank is back. Ive heard a rumour that now hes transforming trees into tanks not the other way around, but first ill read the whole PC Guru article to approve of that.
Rico: Imho, TW campaign was at least a decent one. Do you play current RTS? Then youd know. And units like the Mothership are pretty unique- But few know that TW isnt that shallow it seems on the surface. In RA3s case, id wager that the Akula sub is pretty damn imaginative.
And i dont know who wrote it, but aside from the engine, RA3 looks quite different: The colour palette, the trees, the shape of the Soviet tanks and buildings, the effects and lighting, everything is rather comical and cheerful, unlike TW, which looks more realistic and grittier. QUICK_EDIT
I wonder how RA3 would look in the style of an old film. maybe film noir, kinda like sin city. or sky captain. Thats kinda what I imagined from the 'zine scans... _________________ Delirium.. QUICK_EDIT
for saying nutters or dick tanks because im about 99.9% sure he meant tick tanks.. and as for nutters... eh thats not so offensive _________________ With sadness in my heart and joy in my mind QUICK_EDIT
Why does the soviet statue hold it's hand like a Nazi?
Otherwise, I'm pretty optimistic about this game. The Allied buildings suck balls and the logo is ugly. Perfect.
Exactly the Allied buildings/units and the logo look great, nay spectacular, imho. To my eyes, the Soviet design needs some more aesthetic love. QUICK_EDIT
It's a little early to create a RA3 Editing forum.
Its only to early if the game hasnt been ennounced, you waited a long time to get a TW section started and it hasnt exactly been popular here. As the saying goes... "the early bird catches the worm". QUICK_EDIT
