ETS isn't working at all.

Ok, I downloaded ets 3.40 #19, and installed it, no errors, all fine an dandy.
(No mods are in there, fresh install)

Now, I added a fresh rules.INI from my backups, absolutely not edited, to the sun directory.

I go to orca, and change its weapon to RedEye2, and added AACombat=yes/true whatever.

I start up the game via the launcher, and nothing is changed. The orca can
shoot ground, but cannot shoot down another orca. I Made an orca fly around
and force fired on it, but it doesn't even take off to attack. What did I do wrong?

Please help.

Do the mod files have to be in mix files?
Do I have to use the ModInfo.INI?
Do I have to use the run with mod feature from the launcher?

Somebody help me please.

I'm having the exact same problem, none of the "promised" features are working for me either. Confused

It's a post from 2008. I think you'd get further starting a new topic, since this one is obviously going nowhere.
