Greetings,

I was wondering if there were already written Tutorials on how to do it. I know a few other people on other sites have been asking, just wondering if someone already had written them and if anyone knew the address or a place where you can find them.

Are you talking about simply applying them in Max and exporting them or creating from scratch (i.e. use a program like Photoshop to create the actual image)?

CoolSon your behavior is entirely uncalled for. Besides I wouldn't be calling him a noob when your own Pitbull is an immense mess and a waste of system resources. 21,000 polys and 94 draw calls is absolutely ridiculous.

As for the OP's question, check out Killasmods. Specifically you're probably interested in the C&C3 Tank Tutorial although you haven't specified what kind of models you have (vehicle, infantry, structure, prop). But still the basics apply to getting any model in-game.

Also the documentation that comes with the SDK is quite helpful with regards to getting models/textures into the game. If you haven't read it you should. And if you have, well do it again, it can't hurt. #Tongue

I have the models but need to know how to actually make the Textures for the models.

Well you can find lots of tutorials for texturing if you use a search engine. Basic unwrapping and texturing is not game-specific so any good tutorial will work.

But basically the process involves unrwapping the UV coordinates of the models so you can make a 2D texture that fits properly on the 3D model. Then you just paint over a snapshot of the UVs in whatever image editing program you like (then generate housecolor, normal, and specular maps as explained in the SDK documentation). And finally apply the textures to the models in 3dsmax and export to .w3x the way the SDK documentation explains.
