Yeah, I have two whole weeks and the total of 0.5 easy pieces of homework to do. Expect a release from my mod soon, I've already coded the katyusha, it's cool Cool And I have a hind, and a few plans for some cool stuff.

Yes I'm spending TWO WHOLE WEEKS Surprised modding YR, freely and out of my own will. No, satan is not standing behind me with his pitchfork threatening to smite me. #evil Laughing

And I'll be posting screenies here for anyone interested/bored/a brazillian insomniac (no, not you banshee. I know you sleep because I check PPM at lunch UK time and you're not on. Very Happy)

I will have much spare time after next week's friday (not tomorrow, but the next friday). So if you need a new AI, you must wait untill then (I really can't do it sooner, I've got a test monday and a project presentation thursday...)

Don't worry, consider yourself free until I have a first release (working on it now. Man you gotta love the katyusha-hind combo... hmm, maybe it's overpowered, I'll check).

Quick unit list of release (new name only means new art for voxels, some inf look the same, but only a few):
1=In game
2=vxl done but not ingame
3=not ingame
Allies:
Rifle infantry1
Engineer1
dog1
Rocket trooper1
Squad sergeant1
Tanya1
Sniper1
Light tank1
Main Battle Tank1
Self propelled Howitzer (not a revamp of hwtz in ra2.mix, based on light tank chassis)1
APC1
SP AA gun1
Ranger MkII2
Apache1
Attack Jet1
Helicopter Transport3
Destroyer2
Carrier2
...

Soviets:
Conscript1
RPG Trooper1
Shock trooper (still tesla trooper for now)1
Engineer1
dog1
Boris1 (has swopped art with conscript)
Medium Tank1
Mammoth Tank1
Multiple rocket launcher1
Support tank2
Soviet APC (BMP styled)1
Hind Gunship1
Sub1
...

I am revising my earlier statement about the soviets and toaster/car factories

Their basic kit (AKs, RPGs, medium tanks, even Katyshas) are built in small industrial units and metalworking shops. They have heavy/high tech industry and this produces aircraft varying in tech from upgraded Yak models to Jet powered MiG strike aircraft. It also builds Mammoths and is rumored to be working on a ground based Laser device to netralise allied orbital reconnisance platforms (spysats, like in our world governments and bueracracies still love pointlessly long names) and possibly long range missiles...

I LIED TO YOU ALL
I had two weeks and a day and a half so I have two weeks left after today, so I'm going to do my 0.5 bits of homework today...

Yeah, anyways... I've got a working AI and I've killed Yuri's AI so he'll just turtle if yoy play against him in skirmish.

The allied AI is quite deadly ATM, seeing as the Grizzly has become a high-powered MBT and the soviet AI still builds the same amounts of defences. I'll get a heavy cannon emplacement ingame either later today or tomorrow to counter that.

No it means you're temporarily free as all I can do is change taskforces, not add anything new. I just want a mod that works, I'll release that then hand it over to you to do a good AI as mine is severely unpolished.

For your employment prospects, yes.

For me, not really. I'm starting to dislike the Irish, all they've done for the last I don't know how may years is argue about who's in charge and kill each other! It gets really pathetic, and thats one of my 0.5 bits of homework:
1) Add to my GCSE coursework on Ireland.

Yes, but this place gets way too formal for a place where people talk about messing around game files.

And anyways, it doesn't really matter, my idle chat might tell people some interesting ideas I had.

Like the ASAT laser in the "bored" topic.

Anyways. The Good Friday Agreement calls, I'll be back later!

I'm back.
I've done some coding, the AI is quite good now and I've weakened the SP howitzers (I'd made them too strong, so I clipped their ROF and made them scatter their shots).

And I reckon the soviets should have a missile defence instead of a cannon as they're so rocket obsessed...

So the allies get a gun emplacement and the Soviets get a "pepperbox" missile defence for AT work. This is getting interesting...

Expect screens later today, mostly of allied forces crushing commies and maybe a counterstrike by some katyushas and other assorted soviet vehicles.

No prisms, I always hated those damn things, overpowered weapon.

They're gone. I've used thier code to make the lil guys on the howitzer's turret reload the gun (best seen when the gun is shot straight up (^) or diagonally (^>) at other angles tou can still see it but you can't see the little shell being pushed into the back of the gun.

The Howitzers grind down targets, they sit there and chip away at your PPs behind your defences, the kat fires a burst of 12 rockets that do a lot of damage but take longer to Reload. It's quite classy actually, It'll look good and make people go "mother ***!!!! my defences?!?!" if you mass a few and follow it up with an assault. Just don't try to siege people with them, they're awfully vulnerable...

The soviets are all about shock tactics and breakthroughs, they still don't do that much "hit & run" but they do "Hit & run them down!" So you have to catch them off balance.

The allies are more "conventional" . They do the old "combined arms" thing, the soviets do it too but when you attack the allies take some SAMs because any allied player with sense will use attack Jets or Apaches to take out your artillery and heavies.

The Reds do hit and run at sea, Submarines, attack boats and Naval aviation all take their toll on Allied vessels if you're not careful...
