I wonder if they can better the original film, though? Surely there's enough books out there to make a sequel rather than a remake?

Lynch's version was very deviant from the source novels, and revitalizing the franchise from square 1 would be much more commercially viable as casual movie-goers today are hardly familiar with the name.

I saw Dune once, it was strange.

Perhaps I need to read the books to get into it more........

We had some Dune's in vhs, but I don't remember anything from them except that they were strange and stuff... Maybe this movie will be worth watching... #Tongue
