Well, as I've began to get fed up with modding TW (AI keeps crashing my mod and so), decided to continue on this mod. I have an (old) image to share:
Here are the WiP Component Towers for Team Beta. They are in 3 flavors: SAM, Flame and Anti-Tank. The blocky one is the SAM version, the one with the tanks and short barrel the Flame version, and the one with the long barrel the Anti-Tank version. As said, models are WiP, it was to test if they would work. QUICK_EDIT

And here's the line-up of models I created for Team Alpha. All except 1 are unskinned, and the one which is skinned has a (very) bad skinning job, so don't waste time telling me that
1: Crusader Heavy tank
2: Reckoner scout vehicle
3: Behemoth Extreme Heavy tank
4: Ontos tank
5: Defender AA vehicle
I'm considering resizing the Behemoth: it's a bit too big to fit in the WF
Also, updated first post! QUICK_EDIT

Talking about extreme cannons: check out this beauty:
The model is still a WiP, but it was more of a try to make an animation. If you see it, it's really nice. Also, I'll scale it off course: it won't be that big in the real version QUICK_EDIT

Correct This cannon fires a single extremely heavy shell to the enemy for maximum damage. And because it requires the Particle Tech, it doesn't create a normal explosion, but something much worse... QUICK_EDIT

Meh, it has a 10 min countdown and stronger structures (Command Center, superweapon structures) survive the blast... It does is something to make your enemy go act frantic QUICK_EDIT
If you make a much smaller version, add civil towers that can be garrisoned in each corner, and you will have a tech structure, aka Monster Artillery QUICK_EDIT

And we have another update!
This time, the new and improved Component Towers, the Ontos, and the brand-new Demolisher!
The Demolisher is a nuclear artillery with an huge range, decent armor, and a nice suicide button Downsides are that it's expensive, slow, has a large minimum range, has a buildlimit of 1, and requires the NBC General Power. QUICK_EDIT

Thanks, but it looks even better with a skin now (yes, I'm skinning )! Pics will follow soon
EDIT: and as promised, the skinned versions of the Component Towers!
They have some small texture errors, but I'm sure I can fix those QUICK_EDIT

And another update! This time it's more graphical. Be carefull, it may be big...
Just a nice particle anim I made yesterday, and improved today.
EDIT: don't want to double-post, so here's another pic.
It's the Behemoth together with the Crusader, which has been given a new look. Also notice the Plasma explosion of the Behemoth shells. It's a smaller version of the Devastator impact explosion QUICK_EDIT

Dutchy, add some freaking textures to your models. Also make them more detailed.. They are just boxes and cylinders.
The textures will come. I first have a small problem to solve about those textures, because the textures I put on the Component Towers look odd for some reason.
And about the models lacking details: maybe it's because I'm still rather new to modelling? I'll try to improve them though. QUICK_EDIT

Well, your comments gave me a nice idea: I'll give Team Beta vehicles the same 'open tracks' style of the Demolisher. Expect some updates soon QUICK_EDIT

Update:
Here is the new flame tank, completely redesigned and with a skin! The dark skin will be the overall skintype for Team Beta. I may make it a bit lighter though... QUICK_EDIT

I'm sorry, but I'm going to remake it. it was good though, but it doesn't fit the theme of Team Beta with open tracks and so. You'll see the new version sometime soon QUICK_EDIT
Its on the first page. Seriously, at least try to look before asking.

Team Alpha:
Team Alpha has the heavy units of the game. Their basic units are heavier then those of Team Beta. They are more expensive and slower as a result. Still, they're a force to reckon with Wink

Team Beta:
Team Beta has more hit-and-run units, and some high-tech heavy units. As a result, they are weaker, but also cheaper. They do have one very heavy unit, which is only available in late-game... They also have the more heavier infantry of both armies.

You may have noticed the lack of updates: creating AI for mods, Beta testing Rise of the Reds, studying for exams and finally finishing Fallout 3 takes a lot of time I've also had a chat with some ppl about my mod (more specificly the models), so expect an update soon QUICK_EDIT

And here's the promised update:
Team Alpha tanks updated.
1 is the new Behemoth: more tank-like, bigger, and not such a small turret.
2 is the new Crusader: now starts with 2 barrels and a turret.
3 is an upgraded Crusader: it gets the third barrel, but loses the turret.
Yes, I know: they lack textures, but that will be fixed over time. QUICK_EDIT

What do we have here?
This is Team Alpha's Tokamak Reactor. It will be similar to the RA2 Nuclear Reactor. It's big, provides a lot of power, but ain't that good for you when detonating. With just over 1900 polygons this is the most detailed model I've made until now. QUICK_EDIT

I'm requesting a lock of this thread. I've had some help from Liten and I'm going to remake this thread, either here or on a different forum where there may be more interest... QUICK_EDIT
