Yeah, anyway. I have an Internal Error that occurs during the game, I'm also getting a plain, normal "main executable for yuri's revenge has stopped working" error on a different map that I made. It's probably unrelated but I have a feeling that sorting this IE may help.

I've uploaded the except.txt and ask for just a moent of time from one of the few gifted people here with the oracle-like ability to read them.

Wouldn't happen to have something with Sight > 10 or a veteran bonus of sight, would you?

I don't know, I'll check
Thanks for the help, got anything else from your crystal ball? (yes I know you actually read the except.txt files, but it's just that it seems a bit "hit and miss", great help though Smile)

Thanks

Sight= >10 doesn't cause an I.E.

quiet you! Coupled with certain tags and a changing of the [general] section at the top it can do.

And I'm actually asking for help with something. It seems the IE coencides with the construction of my battle lab (when playing as allied).

Sure sight > 11 does. It uses the same algorithm as CellSpread, and the data table for it covers values up to and including 11, and on top of that the data for spread 11 is fucked up.

Albrecht, does that repetitive IE reports the same EIP in all the excepts?

Yep, I cross-checked the two I have ATM and they both have the same Eip, why?

You where using NPatch for this mod right? I think that may be your problem #Tongue j/k
No seriously, if it is NPatch causing this problem, you must find VK or solve it yourself (TSHyper and DCoder don't like NPatch Wink)

No, I stopped, it didn't provide that many benifits, if I use an EXE hack it'll be RP2

This IE has been fixed, turns out it was the force shields, so I disabled them.

But I'm getting a
"main executable for yuri's revenge has encountered a fatal error and cannot continue" message, I think my TFD may be dieing, is it legal to get a no-cd crack for a game you actually own and have the CD/DVD for?

Of course its legal, you bought the CD fair and square, if you don't want to use the CD, why should they care? They have your money. #Tongue

argh, I've fixed the problems (turns out 1/2 my RAM wasn't plugged in and 512 of DDR 2 wasn't enough to support YR and vista, but it's fixed now, along with new drivers for my GFX card).

Now somebody lock this before it turns into an ethical debate...

1Gb of ram is not enough for Vista either, get 2Gb or 4Gb (its DIRT cheap right now even with 4Gb)

It costs less than 100euro's with 4Gb (2x2Gb of DDR2 RAM)

Dude, I've worked with Vista and TW for half a year with 1 gig RAM, untill I noticed that I was missing another gig RAM (I should have 2 from the beginning)
So there goes your theory #Tongue

Ok, I fixed that, I was running vista (min 1gig) and YR on 512 of ram, about 60% of which was full of junk because I hadn't defragged for weeks. So I defragged and stuff and now it works, so your theories are sunk. Djohe, one problem, I live across the pond from you, everything's price has a £ at the beginning, 100 euros is nearly £80 and even of I bought 4Gb 2Gig would be wasted because I have 32bit vista which only detects up to 3Gb!

And I tried to add a bomber aircraft but I'm getting IEs from an unknown source, so you might have to wait til this weekend or later for this alpha whih has more and more changes each time I look... But it's getting quite fun.

really don't use vista, ever, your mod can't be properly tested for balance online.

Not exactly true. There's some weirdness about that I think. I used to be able to, then for some reason I couldn't. I found out that somehow I can still play mods online as long as I host. I tried while testing Star Strike.

ah well, my good pc is seperated from the web and I'm typing this too you from a machine with 256 of RAM and a 2.6 single core.

Anyways:
I have another problem (kinda) and I'd like a few people to take 5 minutes to help.

If interested, please:
1) get a fresh rules.ini with a normal YR installation
add: "flightlevel=5000" on [SPYP]
2) Run the game and use the spyplane.
3)Do you get an IE?
4) If no, quit and place a working voxel and HVA named "spyp" in the RA2 directory
5)repeat step 2
6)Do you get an IE/BTW message?
7)Tell me what happenned
Thanks

yet again stupid coding ftw ...

seriously such a high flight level is bound to be buggy and yes spyp has issues ..

also IPX issue vista so unless your vista machine can suddenly missing protocols then please do enlighten all vista/tfd users.

seriously if you can afford such a spanky new pc then play new games.

Stupid coding ftw. Albrecht, step 5 crashes because your new "working" spyplane voxel doesn't have three sections.
