Hy @all

I´m very busy making my models good and with a low poly count, so i can´t take any more errors, seriously Very Happy

So, my problem is simple, but hard to solve:

When I open the materials editor, then "change Material/Map Type", select the "W3D" Setting, expand the Pass 1 category and then go to "textures", the problem occurs. I´m ticking the "Stage 1" option and clicking the "None" Button. Nothing opens, but a surprise encounters me. The Program DOES NOT REACT ANYMORE.

My OS is Windows Vista and i have done the same thing above in the "Compatibility Mode".

I have a strong CPU (Dual Core, running on my system with 6,2 GHZ)
3 GB RAM
8800GTS Graphic Card

Anyway to solve this guys?

I hope, someone can help me, because its a pain in the 4ss

Greetings, Lunatics

Yea, I've heard about people having that problem...

But despair not Wink . The W3D material type seems to be something left over from the plugins used for making .w3d for Generals and BFME.
The models for C&C 3 do not use this Smile .
If you read the mod SDK documentation, you'll find that you're supposed to use DirectX 9 shader materials. After selecting DirectX 9 shader, you simply select one of the shaders that came with the plugin. I suggest reading the documentation for further information.

Good luck on your modeling.

Jeah, when i have the ability to read, why didn´t i use it? Laughing

I was just following killamods CNC3 Tank tutorial. Maybe someone should message him a hint, to change the way to make the texturing.

Again, thank you for your help

6.2 GHz? hahaha, you're one of those smartasses who multiplies core frequency by the number of cores?
