Two Questions
Alright, I have two entirely different questions for modding RA2.
1. How can you make the harriers orbit the location you order them to instead of returning to base? E.g. your base is on the opposite side of a really large map and you have a spy at the enemy's power plant and you want to take them out so you have aircraft flying around, standing by but after the attack, they return to base.
2. How can you make a vehicle hijacking work? I was looking at the psychic dominator for the answer, but it doesn't look like I can convert that to something a unit could simply do. VehicleThief=yes is crap in YR. I suggest you use dog logic and perma mind control but then you must have NPatch. Works exellent for me. If a unit have ImmuneToPsionics set to yes then it will be immune to hijack. There is a tutrial at revora. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
Stop talking total rubbish NewGuy, VehicleThief works fine, but the unit also has to have Thief=yes and Infiltrate=no to work correctly as just a vehicle hijacker. It also only works on infantry as it did for TS. QUICK_EDIT
But referring to an earlier post, removing the airportbound=yes on the harriers will simply make them land wherever they are. I don't want them to land, I want them to orbit the location, as seen in Robot Storm.
As for the vehicle thief, this would be an ability in addition to carrying a gun, so how would that format into YR? It may be a combination of Landable=no and MovementRestrictedTo=Water, this way it shouldn't want to try to land anywhere, which it can't, normally making it return to the airport thanks to AirportBound=yes. So it shouldn't return to the airport, just sit there, until it runs out of ammo.

Limbo launch MC works just peachy without any patches. LaoTze used to have an 'amoeba' unit that used this. Biggest downside was impossibility to seperate the MC and limbo MC targetting, and the 'mind link' line that would run back to the ground where the attack took place, no matter where you drove the tank. _________________
The vehicle thief issue is solved. Right now, as it is, the units I have can effectively steal enemy vehicles and when the stolen vehicles are destroyed, you get your unit back.
