If you don't have I-Net on your gaming rig, can't reroute internet to it temporarily, then IMO, you shouldn't have a gamng rig.
If this no-DVD thing applies to RA3, it will be the first CNC game, AFAIK, to not require a crack to play without CD/DVD.

The cynic in me wonders if the whole "ten day" thing was nothing more than a smoke screen, a cleverly crafted pile of bullshit that was intended to get potential customers all riled up, so that when they announced the "real" DRM Scheme, it would give people a sense of winning against EA, and also make the currently adopted scheme seem far better in comparison to what might have been.
Perhaps I need to adjust the foil in my hat, but were I an executive who wanted to keep these kind of locks on my game - but also wanted to keep people buying it - this is exactly what I would do.

BTW,EA games are expensive. Hungarian RTS (pretty good) The War On Terror cost (when it was new) around 12 Euros, new game from EA costs around 60 Euros (f. example average Czech wage is +-930 Euros, German or American (USA) is +-2500 Euros).
And yes EA games are expensive, I was in a department store a couple of weeks ago looking for a copy of COD 4 when, I saw that they still had 10 copies of the CNC TFD selling $99 Aus. I LOL'd when I saw the price. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

AFAIK, PC games are never higher then 50/60 dollars/euros, except when it's a collection of games. Only console games are very expensive (another reason I don't use consoles)... QUICK_EDIT

You don't say, but the arabs are screwing us all over by charging $200 a barrel for oil, but our government adds like 60% to fuel in tax. I think I'll get a bio-oil car and run it on sainsburys own-brand cooking oil, I know a guy who runs a pimped-out toyota 4x4 on that stuff. As he drives away it smells like a Fish & Chip shop.
