Hello,

Ok guys my computer gets problems when I play red alert 2 on the internet.

I can connect to the matchmaking service and connect to other games or host my own game. The problem is once i finish playing one game online my internet stops working. I can't connect to the matchmaking service anymore. It also messes up my other internet based applications such as outlook express and my internet browsers, when i launch them they can't connect to the internet.

Only if i restart my computer, then everything goes back to normal but if were to play one game online with RA2 again I would get these errors again.

I checked the internet connection in my network places and it says it is connected but my internet applications fail to connect to the internet. They only work If I restart my computer.

This is a weird error, does anyone else have this problem? Also I'm using a no-cd patch. Hopefully thats not causing it.

Can any of you help me out?

hmm, that could be possible. I'll have to try playing a single game online without the no-cd patch and see if the problem persists.

It's usually computer (or router) related problem... not no-cd crack...

@Jag: play with a CD if you have one and not the crack, and/or run a virus scan. That'll give some insight.

Seriously, I haven't ever had a NoCD getting in the way of online or LAN play.

And anyone who doesn't have an antivir guard program check every incoming file right away is a moron.

I just remembered that this file has been sitting on my PC for a long time in my miscellaneous game files folder. I performed a virus scan recently and there was no virus. I don't think its a virus related problem.

The problem again is that after I play a single game online on RA2 the internet stops working until I restart my computer.

It could be something related to RA2 itself which changes something in one my PC's settings. The question is what.

Bad router, cable/dsl modem, or both.
