Nations of the rising earth
Yeah...now its even me making a mod....its nothing special yet, that means Im still working on the graphics and on the concepts.

Oke here are some Informations:
I want to make RA2 more epic. That means more Units, more Nations and more Tech level.
This Mod will be in the late 20th century and its all about modern warfare.
You can choose you favourite of 8 of the worl-leading nations and use all there military stuff to win.
So, what is new? Every side will be mostly unique, with ist own abbilities and weaknesses.
You can use a whole bunch off military units to defeat yur enemys.
A nation can be only on 1 side in the battle....that means, that those annoing remaps are history.
Here are the Nations:
Brazil
China
France
Germany
Great Brittan
India
Russia
USA
And here is a first preview.
Its an APC for India, with heavy armor and a Browning 1919 (7,56mm) maschinegun to defend itself. It can carry about 6 units.
Its called Alvis Saracen.
I finished it today. Its not final yet though in my opinion its allready good looking.

Well Sheridan, before the crowd goes angry I suggest you taking your time on expanding your idea before submitting it. I'm not saying your mod is a fail but it has potential. And most likely people here don't accept small words and sentences, they accept accept a story with a paragraph or two with ingame pictures and concepts. Likewise, I suggest you taking your time on making your ideas possible, that means writing a full story, get some ingames, and concepts ready. Then the crowd would see your ideas interesting and would attract more audiance to you mod.
As it goes a picture is worth a thousand words. Good luck. _________________

Its the idea and how unappealing, it seems to me. since I have nothing to go off by with only these words. The only thing was the APC which is is not a bad attempt at voxel.
My reaction was it was just merely using mere nationality as a pretense for this war. Since everyone hates each other for some odd reason and wants their nation to win!?
Where the "LolNationality" comment stems from, as it seemed you touted this mod to be about mere nationism gone wild? or what exactly? a backstory? it just you seemed to assumed we are all nationalists and immediately would be drawn to that and want to kick everyone else who was not on the team? o.o
To me anything with the word Epic is a mere overhyped gimmick that it should not be taken seriously. its for the "lols" not serious business.

well what are these units, I mean yea lists are kinda dumb without any idea or information how this unit is going to work or how it looks.
Modern warfare? um that could mean anything. its only a empty buzzword that implies strictly the stuff of Real Life. but not really. since if you where attempting to do real-life. RA2 isn't the engine.

The saracen was used (or is still in use) by the indian army....and I want to get a middle between my own voxeling style and the reality...thats why it looks how it looks _________________

yeah its the BMP 1 now...the one with the 73mm maingun.
So now here is the list of indian units, which will make into the mod for sure:
BMP 1:
This unit will be the indian MBT early in the game.
It is cheap, with a light armor and a medium gun.
BMP 2:
This Unit will only fire its AT rockets on enemy vehicles.
Good against light and medium tanks, but sucks against infantry.
Alvis Saracen Mk.II:
This Unit can be used as an amored APC or a light support tank against enemy infantry. Light armor, light MG but cheap. It will carry 6 infantry-units.
Attack Bike
A very, very light attack unit, for battles against infantry. Its a mix of the Nod-Mot and the german BSA bikes in WW2. Armed with an heavy MG its good against enemy infantry. Low costs and armor are its landmarks.
BMD 1:
The BMD 1, armed with a starter for multiple rockets will be the light artillerie for india.
its rockets will work as a MLRS, but only on a medium distance but with splash damage.
Tech Units:
Those Units will be availeble with the brittain trading center. (new tech level)
FV-101 Scorpion:
This Unit can be used as a scout, but also as an bigger alternative to the BMP1. It has a medium armor and a 76mm gun. Its faster than the BMP1 and hast more firepower.
Vickers MBT:
This Unit is for the late game. A heavy Tank with a 105mm gun and heavy armor. Good against all kinds of enemy vehicles.
Oke that was it first. There will be some more units for india, but those ones made it allready into the mod.

Its on of the more powerfull tanks in the indian army.
Armed with an 76mm maingun is it good against infantry and tanks.

Here is an update.
ZSU-37
A chinese Anti Air Tank, which is basing on the Type 63 AA Tank from the 50ths.
The ZSU is armed with a 37mm AA gun which causes medium damage to air units.

Why does india have so many old british units? The UK still uses a version of the scorpion called the Scimitar which has a 30mm RARDEN cannon. _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT
India got some old units from the UK, or produced them with the license.
And I know that they use the Scimitar. But I think that it is replaced by the Warrior. _________________

First ingames
Today was the big day, when I started testing some voxels ingame.
After some issues with turret offsets, here is the first working one:
The Saracen.
Its still using the rules.ini of the IFV but with some changes it has now a M60mg and it doesnt change its turret while loadet with units.

Maybe it's a Mirage Tank, which can camouflage like Telephone Poles

I just recognized it, yesterday, when I tested the indian armory and they where all to bright.
So the most is fixed now, but I didnt made I new Screenie yesterday, cause I was to lazy.

ok well i see u have also added tiberium. however in my opinion if u are gonna make the tanks have no remap and special "camo" then u might want to redo the countries buildings too. other than that not bad _________________

Update
Here is a little Update:
Chinas MBT: The Dragontank.
Its one of the 3 units, which dont exist in reallife. But like the others its inspirated by a real one.
The Dragon tank will be one of the weakest Battle Tanks. Armed with an short 90mm (or 105mm....I cant decide) maingun and a light armor its a cheap tank for mass production.
The ones in the picture has also a AT Rocket, but ingame it cant be used and maybe I will leave it out.
The first Screen is from the older Version with longer Barrel adn AT Rocket.
The Second one is a makeover with a new turret an barrel.

Just re-read the thread. This is a huge fail...
The scimitar is for recon, the warroir is an APC, that's like trying to use a Formula 1 car in a rally...Same kind of screw up. And the scorpion needs a longer gun and lower profile. _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT
But the Warrior is more usefull: APC with a 30mm Maingun, which can give some good fireprotection, AT Amunition and it can carry I think 8 soldiers.
But I dont realy know much about the british armory.
I think the 76mm maingun could be 1 or 2 pixels longer but that would be enough. Its not that long in RL. _________________

Good models bad colouring. That Dragon tank looks like no Soviet/Chinese AFV I've every seen o.0 why not do something based on the Type 63/PT-76 _________________

And I recognized the 90mm gun but I thought WW was trying to just balance it.
Anyways, I will take a few week break with updates and I will go back to the concept arts for the countries I didnt cared about. (germany, brazil, france).
Here ares some units which will make into germanys armory:
Scouttank Luchs:
This will be a light Scouttank which can give with its 20mm gun critical damage to light vehicles.
It can also carry 4 soldiers and give it a good protection with a medium armor.
APC Fuchs:
The "Fuchs" is an APC for the late game, which has more armor than the "Luchs" and carry 8 Soldiers.
It can defend itself with an rocket launcher against light vehicles.
Armored Transport Jeep "Dingo":
This armored car can carry 6 soldiers into battle and ´can defend itself with a light mashine gun.
Leopard 2:
Germanys MBT. Do I have something else to say?
[Tech Units]
Leopard 1:
A cheap battle tank for the late game. If you have not enough resources to build an army with next gen. weapons just take them back from retirement.

United Kingdom Unit List:
Challenger:
UKs MBT. Heavy armor and 120mm gun....a true heavy tank.
FV-103 Scimitar:
This light tank can be dropped by an transport aircraft on to the battelfield. It has a light armor and a 30mm maingun.
Warrior:
This APC can carry 6 soldiers to the battlefield and can defend itself with a 30mm gun.
FV-423:
This APC has a heavy armor and can carry 8 soldiers to the battlefield. Its not armed.
Do you guys have an AA System? Couldnt find one yet.
And here is the special abbility for the UK:
Call in harrier-strike.
5 Harrier Fighterjets clear the ground with their anti ground missiles. _________________

1) Challenger 2 don't change the stats that much, it just looks cooler IMO
2) Tracked Rapier old boy, wiki it.
3) Use Tornadoes instad of harriers.

No harriers are much cooler....and besides I think the Tornado is more a german thing
(I know it was designed by german and the UK but its our mosed used aircraft. UK has still the harrier, the eurofighter and the hawk)
