I'm trying to get something to go from uncapturable to capturable in one of the missions since TS:R kinda made it uncapturable.

Tried looking around and editing some stuff in both rules.ini and the firestrm.ini. Seems to work in skirmish, doesn't work in missions.

Can someone help me?

Try editing the map itself. Maps can act like overriding rules files for most things.

Go to Edit in FinalSun (With the map open, which you can extract with XCC Mixer from the Firestorm CD) down to INI and add the section GARADR (I guess this is what you need capturing?) and Capturable=yes.

But which file do I extract with the XCC? I'm running on the TFD edition, so I'm not quite sure about it.

You extract the map that you're having trouble with, simple. To put all this simply, SMIFFGIG never had any intentions for TS:R to have a campaign so the Retro campaign is bound to be infested with problems.

But where would I find that file? It's certainly not on the TFD disk and it's not on the /SUN part..I only found the Normal TS mission.

I havn't played Retro yet, stupid of me not to play every mod out there I know, but the missions are not located on the TFD disk unless you have the actual game itself, in which case the missions will be on the disk. Get XCC Mixer, and assuming you already have it and you have TFD, go to the Tiberian Sun directory and open the file MAPS01 for regular GDI, MAPS02 for regular Nod. If it's FS your trying to fix, the missions shouls already be i nthe directory. Find the map in the mixes (If it's for regular TS) or open it from the directory (Seggestion is to make a back up of the map first in another spot.) then when Final Sun opens with the map. Once the map is open in Final Sun, click EDIT>INI Editing and find the entry of what you are trying to fix... Normally, it helps to open the rules.ini file to help find it, since the codes are the SHPs themselves most the time. Same goes for voxels. Now, all you need to do is add this to the building your fixing in the map... Capturable=yes (Capturable=true also works.) and there you have it, it should be fixed for that map. Repeat on other maps if needed. Hope it helps some. ^_^;

Ah, they're already in the directory, that explains why I can't find it using the XCC Mixer. Silly me.

Ya, it just shows that you didn't look hard enough. I had a problem just finding the FS movies so I can show my friend some of the stuff, then I found it wasn't in a new mix, but the MOVIES01.MIX file. xP So I am not trying to flame you, if you get that impression, but I also don't mind helping.
